I've recorded it - just wondering if it is worth making the time to watch
it.
LOST WORLDS - WHO WROTE THE NEW TESTAMENT?
The New Testament, the basis of today's Christian faith, is a collection
of 27 compositions, 21 of them letters, all first written in Greek. No
originals have been found, only copies of copies written many years
afterwards. The earliest known text of the New Testament (dated to about
125 AD) is on a papyrus fragment held in the John Rylands Library in
Manchester. This three-part series tells the story of the evolution of
the 27 books of the New Testament. (From the UK, in English) (PART 1) PG

Even though it is uncritical in accepting a historical Jesus there is
some good info on the early gospels. I though the take on the last 12
verses of Mark was a bit stretched. The idea was that Mark was trying
to shock us by leaving out the end of the story and did not touch on
the IMHO more likely explanation that the story did not originally
have a resurrection, being an embroided element added latter. The
program did emphasize that no original script is in existence and what
we have are copies of copies with scribes adding and deleting along
the way. There were over 50 gospels and the oldest bible in existence
has 2 extra books in the NT not found today.
IMHO worth watching but keep some pinches of salt ready.
