Authorities have charged the pastor of Blessed Again Ministries in
connection with the fire that damaged the church and several other
businesses last month.

Ladder trucks sprayed flames at the two-alarm fire at the Blessed Again
Church Thrift Store. The pastor has now been charged in connection with
the fire.
Pastor Roger Marcus is charged with arson and insurance fraud.
His alleged co-conspirator, Quinton Fontenette, is also charged with
arson and is in jail.
Investigators say the pastor hired Fontenette to start the fire.
A two-alarm fire gutted the church thrift store.The building, near I-10
at the Freeport Street exit, also serves as the space where church
services are held.
No one was injured in the fire.
It had been a fixture in the community for more than 30 years.

** My note: It was reported on the local radio this morning that the
Pastor disconnected all of the surveillance cameras & security equipment
a few hours before the blaze...
