People Who Believe In God VS People Who Do Not Believe In God |
Hey you realize you two groups of people are pretty much the same?
One group says "We know for sure god exists, we have no proof but we
don't need proof just faith."
The other group says "We know for sure gods don't exist, we have no
proof but we don't need proof just faith."
I say you all take a long walk on a short pier and leave the world to
sane people like me and people who think like me, not like you.

Look at how pathetic *their* position is. They have to turn *their* claim
and positive assertion that there most certainly *is* a 'God', into well
those stupid-***** atheists; they can't prove that there *isn't* one.
'Hah haha ha ha. How utterly stuuuuuupid those atheists are! Imagine that.
*They*demand proof of 'God'! How ignorant of them, eh'? Can't the idiots
see' God' with their own god-dang eyes? Geesh! *Everyone* knows that 'God'
exists! What do those atheists want? For 'God' to speak from the heavens
like he did in the time of Jesus or something? Those silly atheists think
that can just snap their fingers and demand the 'God' do pony-show tricks
for them. How arrogant. 'God' doesn't behave like that. They can't will
'God' to do anything. You can be sure of that! God cannot *stand*
unbelievers!
And how do I know that, you ask? Well *everyone* knows *that*! Silly. It
takes more 'faith' to *not* believe in 'God' than to believe he does. Where
did 'God' come from then? Well we all *know* that God has his own secrets.
Secrets he will reveal to us when 'HE' feels the time is right.' You can
believe what I am telling you with all my heart! 'God' LOVES you!
The attitude of your typical theist. What's wrong with this picture? The
goofs can't get it through their stupid-*****, concrete skulls that they made
up
a 'God' they cannot *hope* to prove exists. (Because he doesn't) And that by
placing the onus on us atheists to 'prove' an imaginary entity (and that is
all
'God' is) *doesn't* exist, shows just how baseless their assertions are. And
what does *that* have to say about their 'faith'? It's as false as 'false'
can
*possibly* be. They're deceiving themselves in a way that defies
description.
They're plain-***** goofy! They talk about 'God' as if he lives just down the
street; the lying sacks of *****. All they need to do is point to 'God'; show
us he
exists! They *can't*. They really and truly can't. So theists, hang on to
Jesus
boy for as long as you want. You can believe he exists till the cows come
home.
'The fact', however, is that he doesn't. Quit brainwashing your kids with
this
filthy soap of yours. You are only harming, not helping your children.

Both are equally irrational. (There is no such thing as common sense
by the way, or everyone would be a genius. I take it you've watched
the Springer show?)
They are not equally irrational.
They are equally unproven. Certain belief in the absence of proof, is
by definition, "faith." Faith is irrational belief.
The burden of evidence on the one
making the claim.
True, good point. Atheists claim that no god or gods exist, so their
burden is identical.
If I say, there is a purple space crack monkey on the
moon, it is by my obligation to provide evidence for it. If that does
not happen then one can fairly conclude there is no such space crack
monkey.
Actually, absence of evidence is not proof of non-existence. You are
wrong on that point.
If I were to say you need to provide evidence it does not exist and I
didn't yet provide evidence for its existence, I would be guilty of
"shifting the burden".
The reason for shifting the burden is to imply truth. Here, both
sides of the argument are equally difficult (if not impossible) to
prove. By requiring you to validate your beliefs, I am not implying
truth that god exists (I don't believe that). I am holding you to your
burden of proof.
The reason it works out that way is that things that do not exist do not
leave behind evidence for their non-existence. Lack of evidence for
something is consistent with it not existing.
Wrong. This is logically a fallacy.

Hi, Mr Perkoff:
This post of yours is plain nonsense, man.
We,atheist are not sure about "god does not exist", but we are very
sure we have not yet have tea with Him and past a time with him talking
about baseball in a bar or other *****.
It is the same case as for the aliens and UFOS. There could be both
out there, as Malden saries put it, but we do not believe yet in them
because we lack the evidence to believe in them.
So, you come and believe all this crap put into religious books,
whatever they are.
Well, if religious people believe any of that... you are simple
believing in the words written by men. That is you are believing
stories about miracles, wonders and sayings, about gods and his
disciples speaking and all that.
I would not doubt to believe all the set of those stories, if it were
not because... wll, I know quite well that humans have a tendency to
lie. And the most supernatural the stories are, the greater the
probability that they are lies and pure fiction.
So, it is not quite the same thing as you said.
We do not believe "that god does not exist".
But we know that men are cons and liers. So, unless the god himself
come to me and great, "Hi, dude! How are you today? Would you mind
to come with me for a beer?"
I would be a little suspicious at first and could wonder, "what is
that? Is this guy crazy, or he is just a gay and wants have some funny
with me?"
So the god, that knows it all, reads my mind and tell,
"Don't worry, dude. I am just god."
"Eh! Are you god? Don't kid me, dude!"
"I am truly god, dude. I can prove it to you. Come to the bar here,
and we chat for a while have a beer."
Then I would be curious about a crazy man that says is god, and I
suppose he is going to pay for the beers, for he was the first to
invite me. Any way, if he is god, he can afford to pay a couple of
beers, couldn't he? So I go with this crazy guy because I have nothing
to do at this moment, and want to play a little bit with this nuts.
And the story go on. After drinking a couple of beers, I just challenge
"god" to do a couple some wonders, just to prove he is talking
business.
Well, I mean that any of the atheists in this group is ready to watch
"god" proving himself and doing a few wonders here and there before his
own eyes, proving that way he is not a nuts in quest of a few drinks
for free, but a true god.
So, it is not the same thing, as I said.
So far, we are sure the religous people are liers, even if not all of
them are aware of it. They have been tamed to say "yes" and to accept
as true a set of books and words. At the same time, they have been
tamed to reject the words and books and dogmas from other religions.
So, read carefully: I am going to put my phrase in capital letters,
watch.
"THE RELIGIOUS FUNDIES DO NOT BELIEVE IN GOD."
They believe in human sources that wrote some books. Besides they have
accepted the publicity of some preachers that defend a concrete set of
dogmas."
So, at the end we, atheists, have to agree with your starting position:
We are about the same. "Nor atheists, nor fundies, believe in god
really." But while religious people say they believe certain "human
testimonies and speeches", we, atheists, do not.
And that is all.
Leopoldo

A stupid response. But typical for an atheist.
You cannot prove that God does not exist and therefore,
you take it on faith. The fact that you won't admit this
and yet, deny that God exists, only makes you a hypocrite
and a pretty dumb one to boot.
Goodbye now.

"For the word of God is sharper than any two edged sword."
Part of the message of salvation, is the Creation.
Believing in the Creator. When Paul preached to
those worshipping nature and said... "turn from
these vanities unto the living God, which made
heaven and earth and the sea and all things that
are therein:" - Acts 14:15 Paul believed it too.
