In one of your postings, you wondered, "God listens to some old man and
kills the kids, but won't lift a finger to
save his son from torture and execution."
There are some answers to this is that God can do whatever he wants,
when he wants. If, for example, he helps someone do push-ups while
someone starves, that is just fine.
From the very beginning of time, God planned it all. Again, he can do
what he wants, so who cares?
And actually, God did on a few occasions listened to his son.

God doesn't care. Never did and never will. He is kicking it in heaven
and couldn't possibly care less about you, me, or the universe. There is
no god. No being could do that to another living creature. I don't know
anyone that treats animals like that.

How much closer than being "one of his children" can one get? I suppose if
one were his lover you could get closer. I think that if god existed we
would all be his many lovers as he certainly loves to screw us.
