Wind and Snow Strike 14 States; Record Accumulation in N.Y.
By ROBERT D. McFADDEN
The biggest winter storm in New York City history — destined for
lionization as the Blizzard of '06 — buried the region and much of the
Northeast yesterday under blowing, drifting, thigh-high snows that crippled
transportation and commerce, knocked out power and disrupted life for
millions in 14 states . . . .
-----
In other news, it was 85 degrees and sunny here. The kids and I climbed
Cowles Mountian this afternoon. Perhaps the beach tomorrow.
(Sorry, I couldn't resist!)

Over the years I've met a handful of people who regularly talk with God,
but they usually do so only when they're off their medications.

Yeah, it was a bit of a pain in the *****, but nothing a mug of hot chocolate
and a couple of Advil couldn't cure. And the husband earned $400 cash
helping a bro-in-law plow corporate parking lots, so we'll be having a VERY
nice dinner out on Valentine's Day ;)

No problem - 85 degrees is too warm for me and I hate the beach ;)
