Yeah, I created a disposable email address good for only three forwards
to cut down the spam, and I'll be damned if I didn't get three spam
emails before you had a chance. Damned spammers!
Anyway, I had a question about EAC-NUDIS and I couldn't find a contact
address on the site.
Is there a way to restrict the local program to just collecting emails
from specific groups? It seems to move on from alt.atheism to Ra-only-
knows what group for no particular reason.

Yes, I was thinking about that.
The program starts with an "original" newsgroup or two, in this
instance alt.atheism & free.christians, and adds cross posted
newsgroups to the list of groups to be archived. When the program
starts up, it takes groups that have been voted for and puts them as
first priority to archive, and then lists the remaining groups in a
random order. Part of the reason for the random order is to avoid too
many collisions when submitting new messages to the archive.
At the moment the number of messages archived before moving on to the
next group is 1,500. I think this should be higher, maybe around 10 -
20,000.
The voting mechanism for deciding which groups to archive isn't up on
the website yet. I thought letting each client user nominate up to 20
groups.
I was also toying with the idea of having a "paid" option which allows
the client user to only archive the groups they're specifically
interested in, which might (!) help defray some of the expenses
involved with the project.
Your thoughts welcome.

I agree. When I fire it up, it takes quite some time checking articles
that have already been uploaded.

An argument frequently used by believers [is] to force unbelievers to
soften their terms by accepting their opponents' definition; "Atheist"
means without a concept of God that is logically convincing, not with proof
that God does not exist.
