Object: Planned Parenthood Protests Refusal to Fill Plan B at Target Store
Surely, Planned Parenthood would not deprive someone of the right to
exercise their freedom of choice, as it pertains to the abortion issue;
would they? Pharmacists have every right to refuse dispensing these pills,
if they believe by doing so that they would be an accessory to murder.

Abortion is not murder according to the law. Your argument falls flat when
you decline to tell the truth and make simplsitic declarations which are not
factual.
My suggestion is that if you don't believe in abortion, don't get one.

Since these pills are legal it is therefore 1-not a murder (despite all
the lies you tell) to use them, 2- the pharmacist have no right to
decide for others what's good for them. This fascist should have his
licence revoked.
Or are you so anti-American that you can't understand that? Sure, I

freedom of choice but as long as the USA are a democracy, you'll have

I did not read everything about Plan B but if it reduces the incidence of
breast cancer in women then it is a step in the right direction, imo.
Assuming that the woman would forego conventional birth control pills and
rely on plan B it seems feasible that this method would work; however, I did
not read the data on this method as to its risk of inducing breast cancer in
the women who use it.
The FDA approved it, which does not necessarily mean that it is 100 percent
safe.
And, it also says that it is 89 percent effective.
We will know in due time if this pill is better or worse or no better or no
worse than the current methods of birth control.

That is not at all clear. They may *not* have the right to refuse,
depending on the conditions of their state pharmacists' licenses; I
don't know what's in those licenses. But if their employer tells them,
"Fill all legal prescriptions presented to you, without exception", and
they refuse to fill some, then the employers would be within their
rights to fire the pharmacists. That's how I think it should be
handled.

if they believe by doing so that they would be an accessory to murder.

This is plainly absurd, as they know they are not *legally* considered
accessories to murder.
Let's take this a step further. If you're working at McDonald's, and
you come to be persuaded as a matter of conscience that "meat is
murder", and you decide not to fulfill customers' orders for
hamburgers, would you think McDonald's has the right to fire you? I
think they do have such a right, and I would hope they'd fire your *****
immediately. Same with the pharmacists. If they don't want to be
placed in such a potential conflict of conscience, then they should
seek some other employment.

Nope. Pharmacists, in their choice of profession have an OBLIGATION to fill any
legal prescription. Their only choice is to either do their job or find another
one.

This is easily solved: Target and other pharmacies should state to
their pharmacists as a CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT that if a customer
presents a valid and lawful prescription from a medical doctor or other
professional who is licensed in that state to write prescriptions, the
prescription must be filled, or the pharmacist will be fired. This
should be stated up front to any new pharmacist hires, and it should be
announced UNILATERALLY by the companies as a work rules procedure
change to all pharmacists not covered by a collective bargaining
agreement, and put forward as a non-negotiable demand to the unions at
the next contract talks for those who are covered. Employees may not
dictate company policy.
