Police: Man set girlfriend afire

An Indianapolis woman was in critical condition after her boyfriend set
her on fire during an argument, police said.
Michael Wilson, 33, was held today on preliminary charges of aggravated
assault and arson. Wilson was also burned in Tuesday’s incident, said
Lt. Doug Scheffel of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
“Wilson, who is still in Wishard Hospital in good condition, is accused
of pouring gasoline on his his girlfriend, Nupur Srivastava, and setting
her on fire yesterday,” Scheffel said.
“Nupur, who was burned over 80 percent of her body, is still in critical
condition at the Wishard Burn Unit.”
Police said an ambulance crew responding to the call for help in the
8500 block of Winding Ridge Road on Tuesday found the badly burned
Srivastava, 33, walking toward them. Later, firefighters found Wilson
collapsed at the residence.
Wilson reportedly told firefighters at first that he had tried to light
a grill on a back porch, but police found that the grill was still
covered in plastic.
Police said they found a gas can and lighter on a patio.

So, you could say that the couple were having a heated argument.

What a jackass! I hope they lock him up for a long time.
