Poll: Americans Find Congress More Trustworthy Than Bush. Rightfully So |

A Washington Post-ABC News poll of 1,141 adults, conducted April
12-15, found that 58 percent trusted the Democrats in Congress to do a
better job handling the situation in Iraq, compared to 33 percent who
trusted Bush.

Someone jaded enough to distrust the government (exempting those who are
irrationally paranoid because of mental illness) is well educated in
regard to politics. It doesn't matter if they're involved in the social
science of political science, they have still been well educated
regarding politics.

I don't believe in giving the Dems a blank check, even if Iagree with
them most of the time. We should have more cynicism rather than less.

That was exactly my point. Ideally, no one would trust any of the
leaders in Washington. They should be required to explain their actions
to a population of cynics, not hide behind a shield of blind trust.
