Anti-Christian media - 39.58%

No such thing.

Anti-Christian politicians - 4.59%

No such thing.

Political correctness - 13.59%

Don Imus apologizing to Al Sharpton increases animosity toward
Christians?

Liberal public education - 30.61%

No such thing.

Indifference to religion -11.63%

This makes no sense.

It increases animosity toward bigots and morons. You do the math.

Being indifferent to Christianity is animosity toward Christianity? So
now the only thing they'll accept is if everyone becomes Christian?
Good reason for making religion, or at least Christianity, illegal -
it advocates the overthrow of the Constitution.

That has been their goal for their entire history. In fact, even the
flavor seems to matter - to them.

That is no secret. They will tell you they consider the requirements
of their great pixie as much more important than any law. And when
they are on juries they vote that way whenever they consider it
necessary.

Would have been considerably more informative if
they had asked those who allegedly are hostile
to religion for their actual reasons, rather
than asking those who imagine they are under
attack.

I'm Roman Catholic. So, I'm a believer. And I agree this poll, as I
understand it, is nonsense. It does presume a) animosity towards
Christianity in this society, and b) that this animosity is growing.
The sample is self-selected with readers unable to determine if the
sample is even large enough or diverse enough in other ways to be even
somewhat representative. Finally, there is no possibility for the
respondent to answer that there is no animosity or that it is not
growing or that the situation is that the mood towards Christianity is
improving.
I do find this poll interesting in one way though. It does speak
volumes of the attitude of the respondents with regards to American
institutions. It's not a very flattering portrayal, in my opinion.

You're not playing fair. If you want to be a put-upon Christian you
have to stop thinking logically. (Actually, you have to stop
thinking.) Looking at the facts, as you do, will get you in trouble
with Jon Young's kind of Christian. (Which I'm sure bothers you for
at least a femtosecond.)

They didn't ask me. I would have challenged the assumption built into
the question if they had. They asked whiny bleaters like "J Young."
Since the poll was generated by an extremely biased source (American
Family News Network) and was multiple choice -- with no way to choose
"Not applicable. It's not increasing" -- well... you get the idea.
The poll was "inspired" by an article entitled "Perspectives: The Easter
'Hit' Parade," which was devoid of any rigor when it came to statistical
studies, and jumped to a pre-set conclusion that, once again, the most
powerful religion in the U.S. is persecuted, as "proven" by a handful of
anecdotes. The only thing the article proved was that the author knew
how to operate a TV remote.
Another steaming pile brought to our attention by "J Young."
