Pope myth in the making |
I dont you if you guys are aware of this.... but apparently the pope died
last week !
hehe... like the funeral was on every TV station but one here in Sydney.
anyway... the myth making is already in full swing as im sure you are
aware... but apart from all the grovelling pollys trying to get in on the
action ( or lack of action i suppose) and the story telling which
conveniently leaves out the dark bits of the popes legacy comes news of his
extra qualities !.
Apparently during the service it was noted that his last days were "beyond
human ability" !!! So it will no doubt become part of the Catholic
mythology the JPII was some kind of miracle person. Funny... i didnt notice
him making headlines while he was alive doing anything out of the ordinary.
If this can happen in this era one can only wonder how things got blown out
of all proportion 2000 years ago.

I thought I had read last week of a claim of him being involved in some
miracle 15-20 years ago, but can't find it again

After witnessing an entire week of corpse fetishism, personality cultism,
and mainstream media coprophagy, one wonders how anyone in the the West has
the fucking gall to consider islamists or any other religionists irrational
by comparison.

The only thing I can remember of this Pope is that he was a egoistical
Prima Donna who could not get enough mass adulation and worship.
Heck he scourced the world looking for crowds to sing his praises.
The cost of feeding this ego must have been enormous.
I guess if I were a Cardinal at this coming enclave I would be
asking candidates, "Are you planning to vist my country?"

I wanted to fly a crop duster over the area and fog the place with
"smart gas," then watch as everybody wakes/wises up and asks "Where am
I? Who are all those goomers in the stupid-looking hats and robes?"
