The Pope will call on leaders of the Roman Catholic church today to
attack feminist ideologies which assert that men and women are
fundamentally the same.
The Vatican is concerned that this belief is eroding what it regards
as women's maternal vocation. But a paper on the subject which is due
to be published today - the Vatican's third major pronouncement on
women's role in the quarter century of John Paul's papacy - has drawn
scornful criticism from feminists and academics.

I suppose quoting the gospel passage: "For we are all one in Christ Jesus.
There is neither male nor female, slave, nor free, nor Jew nor Greek" to Il
Papa?
And: "Love your neighbor as yourself"

Those passages belong to the collection of Bible teachings that God has
commanded to be ignored when they become inconvenient to one's preconceived
notions.

Pope warns feminists

Feminsim is not about human rights, liberties, nor equality with
regard to both rights and duties regardless of gender. It as the Papal
document clearly states has a radical gender feminist agenda
destructive to these ends. The Vatican is promoting justice not
injustice. I am not Catholic.
"On the other hand, most contemporary feminism, and almost the
entirety
of academic and political feminism, as Farrel discovered at NOW, is
what
Sommers has called "gender feminism," which is essentially based on a
form of Marxist theory that substitutes "gender" for Marx's category
of
"class," or simply adds the two together, usually with "race" thrown
in.
This sort of "race, class, and gender" theory is typically a dangerous
form of political moralism, with the same totalitarian characteristics
as other verisons of Marxism have proven to display. One consequence
of
this is that the substantive content of criticism is rarely addressed
but that it is considered sufficient to vilify critics as, in effect,
"class enemies," i.e. directing ad hominem arguments against them that
their status, in terms of race, class, or gender, or simply in terms
of
their critical attitude, is sufficient to refute their arguments."

This just fits in with their myogynistic history. In the
Inquisition's archives is a document published in 1993 called
"RESPONSES TO QUESTIONS PROPOSED CONCERNING 'UTERINE ISOLATION' AND
RELATED MATTERS" which explains the Vatican's stance on
hysterectomies. If the uterus itself is the source of a problem so
severe it will harm a woman, it can be removed. However, if it
develops a problem that will definitely harm the woman when she next
gets pregnant, it cannot be removed because the uterus itself isn't at
fault, and to remove it would be to introduce the unnatural state of
sterility, which apparantly is a sin. Of course, they're 100% against
birth control, so this just means the woman should get pregnant and be
damned if she dies.
http://www.vatican.va/roman_curia/congregations/cfaith/documents/rc_con_cfaith_doc_31071994_uterine-isolation_en.html
[Question] 2. When the uterus (e.g., as a result of previous
Caesarian sections) is in a state such that while not
constituting in itself a present risk to the life or health of
the woman, nevertheless is foreseeably incapable of carrying a
future pregnancy to term without danger to the mother, danger
which in some cases could be serious, is it licit to remove
the uterus (hysterectomy) in order to prevent a possible
future danger deriving from conception?
R. Negative.
The exegesis goes on to say this:
The contrary opinion which considers the interventions
described in nos. 2 and 3 as indirect sterilizations, licit
under certain conditions, cannot be regarded as valid and may
not be followed in Catholic hospitals.

You'd think someone who'd spent 50 years wearing a dress would be more into

But... women don't have penises. Without that, they have neither rod
nor staff with which to comfort the altar boys (a la Psalms 23,
natch).

***** has that tendency.

It is nothing to do with the Pope.
The Pope, the Archbishop of Canterbury etc poke their noses where it
is none of their business, and can't grasp the fact that those they're
talking about don't have their medieval view of the world. Yet they
talk as though they did.
The Pope, in particular, is trying to impose his authority where he
has none, on people outside his religion. And make members of his
religion in positions of power impose the Catholic position.
As seen in both Europe and the USA recently.
They need to learn how to interact with people outside their religion.
Otherwise they will continue to be even more marginalised.
