Sorry, Yang, but your impotent Democrats don't have the collective balls to
impeach the President. They're too busy finding ways to *avoid*
responsibility by passing "nonbinding" resolutions.

I'm going to agree too, but it's very telling that Fred thinks the
problem is a lack of balls rather than a lack of reason.
Fred agrees with us, he just isn't willing to admit it.

As an outsider looking in, since you *are*
discussing politicians:
If there *is* a legal basis for impeachment,
aren't the Democrats more likely to keep him
around, use the threat as much as they can
in order to extort concessions from him?
Just because the public wants blood is no
reason to throw way a good tool...
If there *isn't* a legal basis, then it's
just political posturing as usual.

Let's remember that impeachment is not something that has never
happened before.

In the US, the impeachment of a president has NEVER happened for
legitimate reasons.

So while it's not the most likelist thing, it's still within the realm
of possibility.

Yes, but how likely *is* it? Have there been
any legal or evidentiary burdens met which
a prosecutor/special counsel/whatever
can/should take action on? Just because
everyone *wants* him out, *thinks* he's
guilty, doesn't mean the legal burden has
been met.
What *I* want to see is a bona fide legal
opinion on whther there is sufficient
evidence in fact to support action. All I
seem to see is political opinion.
If there is evidence, then either the process
is working (if perhaps slowed deliberately for
political gain) or it's not.
The world awaits fact, not speculation.

Sorry, Yang, but your impotent Democrats don't have the collective balls to
impeach the President. They're too busy finding ways to *avoid*
responsibility by passing "nonbinding" resolutions.

Are you tell us that you want Bush to be impeached and convicted?

He hasn't done anything to deserve impeachment.
I don't think that the Democrats have the guts to carry through with
their threats. They're nothing but hot air. If they weren't such feeble
cowards they wouldn't have confirmed Petraeus at the same time that
they're passing "nonbinding resolutions" against the very strategy that
he's being sent to Iraq to implement.

Except murder 650,000 people, including over 3,000 American troops.

I assume you're referring to Iraq war and resulting ongoing but steadily
decreasing instability? If so, you're wrong.
First, Iraq casualty count is much lower than the
number you quoted. Around 60,000 is confirmed; 100,000-150,000 is the
estimate. Note that this is much less than Saddam's average rate of
25,000-48,000 *per year* and comes with much prospect for improvement
unlike the steady necrosis of Saddam's oppression. Also note that this
estimate doesn't include things like 1 megadeath of casualties in
Iran-Iraq War...
Most of the Iraq casualties are result of Iraq's internal problems,
terrorists and sectarian death squads. This is sad, but it's not
something US is directly responsible for.
Are you seriously saying that you would have preferred to have Saddam
in power instead of dancing the Tyburn Jig?
Second, 3,000 dead american troops in 3 years of combat operations?
Unbelievably cheap by historical measure.
US lost more than that on single *afternoon* in Normandy.
War is hell. People die in wars.
Third, *Congress* voted for and approved this conflict.

That *single* lancet study has been thoroughly discredited. All other

Government under Saddam and his insane sons. Glad to see that your
political views and aims are clear.

Given what we see today, absolutely. Oh, and not that it matters, but
some 4,000 Americans would probably be alive who aren't -- most of

I see. You sympathize with Saddam and his policies.

Unbelievably cheap by historical measure.

Trivial, really. Heh, heh. Those troops. Nothing. LA Freeways are
more dangerous, right.

No life is trivial. People die in war, that's one reason why war is
such hell.
But the point stands: By historical measure US casualties have been
extremely low.
Sometimes war just happens to be lesser of two evils.

You right wing clowns really cover yourselves in ***** when you try
that gambit, you know. You really sound like utter trash. You should
be ashamed.

US lost more than that on single *afternoon* in Normandy.

At least with Normandy we knew what the hell we were fighting for.
Care to tell us what those 3,000 lives were thrown away for in Iraq?

Oh yes we *do* know.
*WMD:s. Couple hundred were found, though most were '80 vintage.
More importantly, we can now be sure that Iraq *will not* develop
this capability in foreseeable future.
--Also note that everyone was so certain about Iraq:s WMD capability
long before Bush. Let's dig few factoids from the memory hole:

<http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ml_5ielKSU>
*Saddam. His hanging is one of those "priceless" moments in history,
comparable to deaths of Mussolini and Ceausescu.
*Iraq. With appropriate US guidance Iraqi people can rebuild their
nation to have features no other Arab nation has. Features like
democracy and rule of law.

Third, *Congress* voted for and approved this conflict.

No refutation, eh?

If Ann says the study is *****, there must be some credibility to the
study. The truth to Ann Coulter is like garlic to a vampire.

Sorry, Yang, but your impotent Democrats don't have the
collective balls to impeach the President. They're too busy
finding ways to *avoid* responsibility by passing "nonbinding"
resolutions.

Are you tell us that you want Bush to be impeached and convicted?

He hasn't done anything to deserve impeachment.

Except murder 650,000 people, including over 3,000 American troops.

I assume you're referring to Iraq war and resulting ongoing but
steadily decreasing instability? If so, you're wrong.

First, Iraq casualty count is much lower than the
number you quoted. Around 60,000 is confirmed; 100,000-150,000 is the
estimate. Note that this is much less than Saddam's average rate of
25,000-48,000 *per year* and comes with much prospect for improvement
unlike the steady necrosis of Saddam's oppression. Also note that this
estimate doesn't include things like 1 megadeath of casualties in
Iran-Iraq War...

Oh, spare me the party-line numbers. Nobody cares how many tractors
***** Cheney produced in the last 5 year plan. The numbers are from an
independent, peer-reviewed source, "The Lancet".

Yeah, and the peer-review said that their numbers are crap.

I'll take that over
the travel off of Karl Rove's email list any old time.

Most of the Iraq casualties are result of Iraq's internal problems,
terrorists and sectarian death squads. This is sad, but it's not
something US is directly responsible for.

It's EXACTLY what the US is responsible for. Had Putsch not
capriously decided to invade and occupy, Iraq would still be a
reasonably stable country with a reprehensive, but functioning
government.

Uhh, no. Iraq was not "reasonably stable" nor did it have a "functioning
government" unless you count totalitarian repression as "functional". Which
I suppose you totalitarian liberals would, at that. You didn't even get the
"reprehensible" right.

Are you seriously saying that you would have preferred to have Saddam
in power instead of dancing the Tyburn Jig?

Given what we see today, absolutely. Oh, and not that it matters, but
some 4,000 Americans would probably be alive who aren't -- most of
them soldiers, lives thrown away for a pack of lies.

If you asked the average Iraqi, absolutely not. Not that it matters to
totalitarians like you, eh, Zepp?

Second, 3,000 dead american troops in 3 years of combat operations?
Unbelievably cheap by historical measure.

Trivial, really. Heh, heh. Those troops. Nothing. LA Freeways are
more dangerous, right.

Freedom for the Iraqi people. Oh, that's right, you libruls don't give a
damn about freedom.

War is hell. People die in wars.

Third, *Congress* voted for and approved this conflict.
