Your challenge..should you choose to accept it...is to use the word
"Porcupine" in a discussion with a theist in alt.atheism. You can't just
plop the word in or use the word gratuitously. You have to make an actual
point or argument using the word "Porcupine". All those that succeed may
award themselves one Porcupine Point. Keep an eye out for the next
Porcupine Point word.
This post will self-destruct in 500 years...or maybe not.

"Why atheism is *****" I thought it'd be a good place to argue with a theist.
Quoting the thread...
<Some idiot said...>

Who's going to stop an atheist from taking an assault rifle and killing
you? Not their conscience. With God, you have a reason to feel safe.
He will love you and protect you. All He asks for is love!

<I said...>
Then wouldn't god protect you from an atheist with an assault rifle?
Seriously, would you go around shooting people if you found out your
god didn't exist? And why would god only protect you if you gave him
love. That's all he asks for, huh? Well, get this, I would protect
you from an angry porcupine even if you didn't love me. Police
officers protect people who hate them when they use non-lethal devices
to take criminals down. They don't even ask for love! Some people
believe in doing the right thing, even when there will be no reward,
no love. Why does your god need my love?

First word that came to mind and sounded like a good name for the points
system. Porcupine will only be the first word...each time the word will
become more difficult. It should challenge the debating skills of a.a's

It might be an idea to put the Porcupine Point claim next to the
signature and call them something like 'P Points', so the theist
might miss their significance. Theists who talk about porcupines
themselves should earn Porcupine points - though we would have to
hold them in trust until they joined the deconversion list!
