No real surprise that Europe produced and exported so much porn in the
70's until the US caught up. Of course, there were virtually no sex
crimes in Europe due to the prevalence of nude beaches and nudity on
television. For them, the mere sight of a naked body is *not*
sufficient to invoke a sexual response. Too bad, we'll never be able
to convince the religious right that after the small period of
hysteria that would occur after the decision to allow nudity, the
crime rate would drop big time. You would think for the safely of
their teenage daughters, they would embrace the idea.

The actions of the disgraceful Clinton and Bush administrations
make it possible for me to say without shame that I deeply regret
the day I put the uniform of my country. The freedoms that I was
willing to protect with my life are being lost. The America of
our founders is dead. All we are waiting for now is rigor mortis.

No. I wouldn't 'think' *anything of the sort*.
They don't 'want their daughters to be safe'.
They *need* the population to *feel afraid*...

My bad, you're right. And besides, sacrifice is GOOD.

What makes you think they don't already know that? What makes you think
lower crime rates would be their goal?

That mirrors an observation of mine about conservatives in general. I
contend that they *need* laws to prevent drug use, illicit sex, etc
because they are unable to restrain themselves. And it also gives them
the assumed higher ground when those liberals who can restrain
themselves proceed to do the same activity. Y'know, maybe they are
right; we don't evolve.
