It's a pain.
Powerquest did what I wanted, when I had a PC from work. I did a
weekly image backup and hourly incrementals. Symantec took over
Powerquest and "imroved" the product so it became next to useless.
They now do a base image and an incremental image - but the latter
scans the base looking for changes so it takes for ever instead of
using the date and time stamp. They also do file backups by filetype.
It's been set it and forget it on decent systems for a long time.
But not on Windows.
