Yep - there's already enough people on the lookout. We will find out
who slept or gave stand-down orders leading up to and on 9/11, and

Funny, "The intelligence does not include a time, place or method of
attack", making it in fact *less* compelling than the August PDB that
was 'not actionable' - and yet we see the administration releasing
this in the wake of falling approval ratings.

Um...releasing information about possible terrorist attacks has been
standard procedure since 9-11, even when Bush's poll numbers were high.
Or have you been living in a cave? Nothing Bush does would make you
happy. Perhaps you would prefer to be left in the dark about such
things.

Officials have been saying for months that a terrorist attack is
possible this summer. Especially in wake of the bombings in Spain.

Especially because there will be an election and Bush is the proposed
benefactor.

Look -- sure, there could be an attack "anytime". So they could release
a little reminder "anytime". THEREFORE: when the timing is
"interesting", one can suspect the public's chain is being yanked.

Bush's speech fell flat Monday. Issue a terror alert Tuesday. That
isn't transparent or anything. They didn't eat the carrot Monday, bring
out the stick Tuesday that there will be "terror" somehow, some way,
some day -- but SOON!

We've been tricked/conditioned into reducing everything to
left/right|liberal/conservative dichotomies with not the slightest
notion of what these generalizations even mean. I try to mostly
ignore those who would rather debate these fictional compass points
instead of the actual issues, but it's like some sort of supernatural
Pavlovian thing or something. I actually consider myself conservative
in most ways, but I find myself diametrically opposed to those in
power who call themselves conservative, and I agree strongly with
many (but certainly not all!) of the ideas espoused by those tarred
with the epithet "liberal."
