Prayer For The Frail Elderly. |
Virgin Mother Mary, you lived years alone without your Son, Jesus and your
husband, Joseph. You must have felt loneliness too, remembering the happy days
in Nazareth. Pray for me, please, when loneliness settles on me. Teach me
patience and hope and faith that God will one day restore the grace of youth
with the joy of heaven.
----------
Pray, hope, and don't worry.
Worry is useless.
God is merciful and will hear your prayer.
-- Padre Pio, Pietrelcina.

I thought she had a typical family - husband, several sons and
daughters, in-laws, etc. Just because one of her kids was a radical
preacher and irritated and got killed by the power elite doesn't mean
she had an otherwise lonely life.
Anyway, she's dead now. Do you often talk to dead people?

Huh? What happened to Joseph, and to Mary's other kid(s)?

Yeah. Ain't it funny, that James, the brother of Jesus, did not cause
Mary with the cherry, to loose it.
Not that any good catholic would dare to debate that little point.

You need to post this stuff in a Christian newsgroup. Here, it's wildly
inappropriate, and merely irritates to no purpose. We're not interested
in your hero, Padre Pisspot, or your imaginary "omnipotent" monster in
the sky. While maybe you could make someone vomit with this crap, it's
not going to make you a single fucking convert. Have a nice day.

And that *IS* the purpose.

"Atheism is the world of reality, it is reason, it is freedom. Atheism is
human concern, and intellectual honesty to a degree that the religious mind
cannot begin to understand. And yet it is more than this. Atheism is not an
old religion, it is not a new and coming religion, in fact it is not, and
never has been, a religion at all. The definition of Atheism is magnificent in
its simplicity: Atheism is merely the bed-rock of sanity in a world of
madness."
