Prayer Rug Scan |
Greetings,
I got my prayer rug from Mark Bilbo in the mail yesterday, and as
promised, I scanned it and put it on the web.
Here are the links:
http://www.elroysemporium.com/images/rug1.jpg
http://www.elroysemporium.com/images/rug2.jpg
http://www.elroysemporium.com/images/rug3.jpg
I couldn't manage to get Jesus' eyes to open up for me for some
reason. I thought maybe it was one of those 3D magic view thingies,
so I tried the 3D eye trick, but still nothing.

LOL. That's pretty funny. Try drinking something alcoholic and then stare

In rug1.jpg I can see that the "eyelids" have a pupil and iris drawn
very faintly on them in very light tones. There seem to be some other
"subliminals" in the textured parts of the image as well.
Try playing with the contrast in Photoshop.

I can barely see the outlines, and they don't "jump out" all of the
sudden if I stare at them like in a 3D magic-eye picture.
Try playing with the contrast in Photoshop.
Have you tried that yet?

Buy her a book.
I had a fear of snakes and spiders as a kid.
I went to the library, checked out a book on snakes, read it and they've
never bothered me since.
I tried it with "bugs" in general and it didn't work, but it might for her.
What got me over bugs was the worst thing that can happen. In Baja I got
stung a couple times by scorpions. That put the emotional with the
intellectual and now I pick up big spiders and carry them out side.

She's already got one :)

She's read her book, seen me "interact" with small spiders in the house,
even watched a couple of nature specials featuring the little boogers.
However, so far none of this has been effective.
I tried it with "bugs" in general and it didn't work, but it might for
her.
I actually like bugs and when I was a sorority ***** at the University of
Florida, whenever a bug or some other crawly thing (usually an anole lizard)
got into the sorority house, I was always summoned to remove the little
beast.
What got me over bugs was the worst thing that can happen. In Baja I got
stung a couple times by scorpions. That put the emotional with the

Yikes!! Funny, but the one thing my daughter requested from our trip to
Arizona was a scorpion encased in lucite :)
I must confess that I still remove spiders via a cup :)

Well, I got one of these prayer rugs in the mail last week, too. The eyeball
thing is rather obvious if you hold this piece of paper (it's a printed image on
a legal size sheet of paper) up to a light. The "open eyes" are lightly printed
in the image. It appears to be a technique that is similar to some of those
images designed to determine color-blindness. The "open eyes" are printed in
the image (oh so very lightly), but are not readily apparent until your eyes
adjust to the overall purplish image and can distinguish the different shades of
purple that blend together when you first look at the picture.
I got one of these very same "prayer rug" papers in the mail a few years ago. I
made up some wacky story about a devout church lady being upset with Jesus
looking up her skirt. I sent it back to the people that sent it to me, after
munging up the envelope so they couldn't tell who really sent it. They were
kind enough to provide a postage paid envelope, so I made sure they had some
postage to pay. Oh yeah, I included a bag of rocks to make sure there was
enough postage to make it worthwhile.

Did you try with the actual rug? You need to kneel on it with your
hands in contact for the LSD to get into your system. Then you'll see
his eyes open. (He may get up and fly around the room too.)

I can do it, with some effort. It's kind of like Ellen Cherry Charles's
"eye game" in Tom Robbins' _Skinny Legs And All_. You've got to squint
your eyes and let everything go slightly blurry. You can faintly make
out the outlines of irises, pupils and upper eyelids. It's not obvious,
but it's there; an artifact of the pencil drawing.
I sincerely hope that's not a pubic hair on your scanner glass in image

I don't have a problem doing the 3D magic eye thing, but it did take
some practice. I see nothing like that in the above picture, however.
I can make out some small pupil areas but they don't jump out like
the 3D images do, and it's not enough to get me to thinking that Jesus
has his eyes open.
I would suggest that whoever makes the rug should get some company
which actually makes those 3D hidden images to re-do it, so that when
you "see" the image, then it'll really "jump out at you" like the
others do once you get focused on them.
I sincerely hope that's not a pubic hair on your scanner glass in image

If it is, it's one of Bilbo's that got stuck on it. :)

I can see two sets of "eye's" One set is low and to the left.
Initially I saw one set in the normal position, then the other and now I can
see any of them almost at will.
This must be a true picture so is this where the term "four eyes" came from?

Greetings,

I couldn't manage to get Jesus' eyes to open up for me for some
reason. I thought maybe it was one of those 3D magic view thingies,
so I tried the 3D eye trick, but still nothing.
I can do it, with some effort. It's kind of like Ellen Cherry
Charles's "eye game" in Tom Robbins' _Skinny Legs And All_. You've
got to squint your eyes and let everything go slightly blurry. You
can faintly make out the outlines of irises, pupils and upper
eyelids. It's not obvious, but it's there; an artifact of the pencil
drawing.
I can see two sets of "eye's" One set is low and to the left.
Initially I saw one set in the normal position, then the other and now
I can see any of them almost at will.
This must be a true picture so is this where the term "four eyes" came from?
It means you've contacted Jeebus, and you should consider your eyes
opened and yourself "born again." Praise be! :)

I think he realized he was in the hands of infidels and has his eyes
squeezed shut real tight.
If you lean close to the monitor, you can hear him whimper...

I notice that they wanted you to send the prayer rug back to them
along with a questionnaire. I wonder if they'd get mad if you sent
'em
an email saying something like "Wow, that prayer rug worked great,
so I forwarded it on to a friend of mine instead of sending it back to
you."
I have to wonder how many people actually send the rug back to
them, don't you?
