Prayer Works - It Did For This Guy Charged With Manslaughter |
http://www.chron.com/disp/story/.mpl/front/4872359.html
"Jurors in the manslaughter trial of a school bus driver who ran over
a 9-year-old girl fought the urge to punish him for the "tragic
accident" and prayed instead for guidance before finding him not
guilty Thursday."
It's completely in line with the teachings of the mythical Jesus,
though isn't it? Let's farm it out to the whole country. The hell
with police forces! The hell with judges and juries! Let's just
forgive everyone no matter what they did! We'll save a fortune
closing down the prisons.

God wouldn't stand up well in court: "God is charged with existing, how do
you find the defendant". "Your honour, we took into account the lack of
evidence from the prosecution, and applied the rules of reasonable doubt,
and as a result have found God not guilty of existing"
:)

We forgive the vivisectors and factory fur farmers who willfully
and for profit inflict torture for which there are no words.

I'm more inclined to thank them, actually. Like millions around the
world, I use drugs to combat Asthma. I have an active life, I lift
weights, I take part in sports. Without drugs developed on animals, I
would have no quality of life whatsoever. I might even have died. A
close friend of mine certainly would have died without drugs tested on
animals. Next time you are ill, refuse all medication. It's been
tested on animals, you know.

Not to mention the fact that animal testing benefits *other*
*animals*. I have two cats on meds that were previously tested on lab
animals; without those meds, my sweet puddy tats would be pushin' up
daisies.
I agree with Ronald about the fur industry though. That's *so* blood
unnecessary in this day and age, it's just *wrong*.

You believe in pseudo-science; all those drugs eventually
had to be tested on humans. Vivisection is the needless middleman.
If it wasn't there would be no need for clinical trials.
You claim to be an "Anti-Theist" but your God is The Big Merck.

You know exactly when they'll start doing that - as soon as prayer is
proven to be at least as effective as medication in all cases. Which
will be about three days after never.

Perhaps they should be done with it, and simply issue juries with
