Object: Prayers for atheists.
Why do people such as Jason Gastrich say they are praying *for* us
atheists?
They aren't praying *for* us, they are praying *against* us.

They're guilty of attempted sorcery which is an automatic death
sentence.

Gastric doesn't give a crap about atheists. He's trying to score
points with his flock as being the 'Atheist Converter'.
It's so sad. For all his hullabaloo with debates and lists, he has
failed miserably. And even more, if possible, pathetic, he has someone
mirror our list.

Y'know, it's funny how everything Jason does helps to bring
in more people to join the list. You'd almost think he was an

Awwwwwww, rats. You caught me. Ah, well, it was an awesome run! The
worst part was pretending to be a fan of the San Diego Padres
(shudder).
You gotta admit I made Christians look like the biggest dorks on the
planet!
So, now that my run is over, I guess you can add me to the list.

One person did say something about how Jason's behavior
was the final straw, though he probably would have become
an atheist, anyway. Some were members of alt.atheism who
said that Jason's behavior finally convinced them to join the
list. And, some were new to the newsgroup.

Methinks that Jason is more than a little bit masochistic.
He should have seen this happening miles back just
from the fact that so many people joined the list due
to his behavior. For him to be partially responsible for
a former Christian becoming an atheist should not be
any kind of surprise to him. It simply shows what a
failure Jason is.
Further proof of this is the way Jason is being trounced
in the debate and that he's asking for help ('critiques' of
what Doug wrote) from other Christians. He just can't do
it on his own, and he knows it. Misquoting and outright
lying about what other people have written is also not the
way to handle a debate. You get caught. And, he has
been. Tsk! I wonder if he'll bow out of the debate. He
must know he can't win. And, I'll bet that he never does
another online debate again.

Methinks that Jason is more than a little bit masochistic. He should have
seen this happening miles back just from the fact that so many people
joined the list due to his behavior. For him to be partially responsible
for a former Christian becoming an atheist should not be any kind of
surprise to him. It simply shows what a failure Jason is.

Further proof of this is the way Jason is being trounced in the debate and
that he's asking for help ('critiques' of what Doug wrote) from other
Christians. He just can't do it on his own, and he knows it. Misquoting
and outright lying about what other people have written is also not the
way to handle a debate. You get caught. And, he has been. Tsk! I wonder if
he'll bow out of the debate. He must know he can't win. And, I'll bet that
he never does another online debate again.

Dunno. He's so oblivious to the very concept that he could fail or be
wrong, he may keep plowing on and declare "victory" even after making an
utter fool of himself.

You mean like his butt-buddy Bush?

With the list, he's probably telling himself we're just lying that people
are joining. That would mean he's failing and *that can't happen now can
it?

Were they Christians Jason drove from their faith?

One person did say something about how Jason's behavior
was the final straw, though he probably would have become
an atheist, anyway. Some were members of alt.atheism who
said that Jason's behavior finally convinced them to join the
list. And, some were new to the newsgroup.

Thank you.

An interesting question, but aside from that, I have a proposal. Since
the list is some years old, perhaps a revised version would be
appropriate--the list, version 2.0, which could be surnamed "The Jason
Gastrich Memorial List" or something, but the version 2.0 list would
include only those names added since Jason pilfered version 1.
No, I don't get out much. Why do you ask?

My impression is of of a detached horror by those decent Christians
out there at what is being done in their name just as I know many
moslems were horrified by what is done in the name of Islam. This
man is clearly getting more extreme, angry and unstable as
he gets increasingly frustrated. You all know what happens when these

that hate. He thinks of virtually nothing else but us and what he
can do about us.

I agree. My own words seem between the lines but your opinion is
dead bang. Most of the persistence whack jobs we get here are overcome
with hatred for atheists. We are the antithesis of their fantasy and
they have no recourse except to hate the thing they have no control
over. Sadly, it's an accepted behavior for the superstitious. To rail
against logic and reason is a winner position.

He's trying to score
points with his flock as being the 'Atheist Converter'.

It's so sad. For all his hullabaloo with debates and lists, he has
failed miserably. And even more, if possible, pathetic, he has someone
mirror our list.

I imagine all these loons are slapping him on the back whispering,
'better you than me'.

My impression is of of a detached horror by those decent Christians
out there at what is being done in their name just as I know many
moslems were horrified by what is done in the name of Islam. This
man is clearly getting more extreme, angry and unstable as
he gets increasingly frustrated. You all know what happens when these
kind get like that. I fear it will all end in violence, I really do.

I've been around a long time. The poor sap will fade away like all
the rest. They will sooner of later be put upon to the max and get
frustrated. It always happens. In the ten years I've been here, I've
never seen it fail. You can't convert an intellectual atheists. There
is always someone that asks a question (like the hundreds he's kill
filed) he can't give a decent answer to.
