Preparing the World for Another 9-11 |
Are you wondering why supposedly intelligent nations like Denmark and
France would allow the publication of the infamous "Muslim
Cartoons"? Hint: It wasn't in the cause of "Freedom of the
Press" or anything else. One neo-con hand washes the other. Read
on:
"What are we to make of the "furore" surrounding the publishing
of an-Islam cartoons by the Dutch and French daily papers? The intent
seems clear enough - to portray Islam, and therefore all Muslims as
fanatic terriorists, and to provoke Muslim groups to confirm for the
world that this portrayal is accurate - which is exactly what has
happened. [ . . . .]"
There follows dire quotes from "world leaders about uppity Muslims
(read Iran, though not so baldly put) who are threatening the world
with (more non-existant?) WMD. QUI BONO?? Mr. Quinn continues:
"What is missing from the collective consciousness in such a scenario
is the fact the member of the current US government have already proven
themselves capable of attacking American citizens in order to further
political and personal goals. When such a government makes references
to the likelilhood of a nuclear attack on the U.S., the people of the
world, and particularly Americans should be very, very, worried.

1. Since the newspapers don't have to get each issue approved by any
branch of the government, I'm assuming that there was absolutely
nothing France or Denmark could do to stop the publication of those
cartoons.
2. France and Denmark, as it turns out, are democratic nations, and
believe very firmly in freedom of the press; it's highly doubtful they
would do anything to surpress such publications.
Hint: It wasn't in the cause of "Freedom of the
Press" or anything else.
Actually, it was. The statement out of Denmark was essentially, a
nation can't apologize for what its free press does.
"Preparing the World for Another 9-11"
Yes...yes, that must be it. Denmark is leading the global charge to
prepare us for the worst. You're a fucking genius.
