Problem for Galveston citizen who believe in the power of prayer |
Do the prayer addicts of Galveston pray for the Hurricane not to
hit them, hoping the prayers will be answered and somebody else
gets hit instead or do they think it better to show their god how
unselfish they are by praying the storm heads right for them
thus sparing everybody else.
Of course they cannot pray one thing and 'privately' think another
since according to their belief system their god already knows their
real inner thoughts so their belief dictates that they must be truly
honest.

Slightly less logical than getting hit by a massive storm, losing
everything,
and calling it a "miracle" they survived.

If I lived in that area, I'd let them pray and wish them the best of
luck while I ran for the %$^#&@* hills.

Somehow, I find horrific mudslides safer than being surrounded by
praying fundies. :-)

My room101 is to be trapped in a church whilst hymns are being
sung. Those silly ecstatic smiles they put on whilst they indulge
themselves in this useless practise fills me with disgust.

Of course they can. Don't presume to put limits on the convoluted
anti-logic of the fundementalist brain
