Let's go back to late August of 2003. The Buffalo Org was in a mad
dash to finish their renovations. And Clearwater Scientologists were
urging their fellow cultists to drop everything and head to Buffalo to
help out.
The email below from "Susan", passed on by Judy Weigand, shows what
they were thinking at the time. A few acronyms needs explanation:
CO CLO EUS = Commanding Officer, Continental Liaison Office, Eastern
US The CLO oversees the Class V Orgs and missions, and also oversees
the social betterment groups through ABLE. (Each CLO has an ABLE
office.) Above the CLO is Flab Bureaux. (Scientology has many
layers of control and bureaucracy; everyone must be watched.)
LRH Pers PRO EUS = L. Ron Hubbard Personal Public Relations Office,
Eastern US. This office is responsible for promoting L. Ron
Hubbard's good name, sending out books that praise him ("Ron the
Philosopher", etc.), sending books to celebrities, and so on. Mike
Rinder used to run this office from INT.
OTC = OT Committee (Operating Thetan Committee). The OT Committees,
made up of Clears and OTs, do two things: recruit more people to go
OT (which costs lots of money), and promote Scientology in their area.
OTA = OT Ambassadors. These are OT7's and OT8's who attend an OT
Convention aboard the Freewinds and are active in recruitment.

There is a massive push to complete the Buffalo renos next week. CO
CLO EUS, LRH Pers PRO EUS, and OTC Off Int have contacted me regarding
Buffalo being the priority to complete in EUS in one week. What is
needed is the OT Ambassadors/OTCs to find two people from each org in
EUS to go to Buffalo for the coming week and help finish the renos.
This is an EUS all hands and we are very much at the end of the
Buffalo renos. I have sent you the good news from Buffalo in earlier
emails. Please get in comm with all the OTAs/OTCs under you and have
them name people to go, call them (not email), and close two. Please
have this brought up as a priority item at the OTC meetings--get two
people from their area to help in Buffalo. There may be college aged
or HS aged kids who are off from school and would either personally
benefit from doing this type of community help activity or be closed
to help. There may be someone who is between jobs and could go to
Buffalo for a week. There may be someone who can and is willing to do
this type of field activity.
Food and lodging are covered. There are actions that anyone can do
in Buffalo to help push the renos through to a done.
This all hands is similar to the Portland and LA marches in the 80's,
the DC Org renos in the early 90's, the Berlin march in 1997, the
Paris march in 2000 and 9/11 VM actions. For sure anyone who goes
will have the proud accomplishment of having helped push the
Scientology religious movement forward in America. Maybe you attended
those earlier marches or helped in DC or 9/11. I am sure you have
great "war" stories from them (I know I do from the ones I
participated in) or on reflection if you didn't participate wish you
had or your kids had. This is that opportunity again. Please do all
you can to get two from each org in your area. As a datum of
comparable magnitude, getting minimally 24 volunteers to Buffalo from
EUS is the same number of OTs who went to the Berlin march in 1997
from just NY/NJ.

No mention is made in this email of the recent murder of the Org's top
auditor, Elli Perkins, by her son and fellow Scientologist (and
untreated paranoid schizophrenic) Jeremy Perkins. No mention is made
that Elli Perkins cried out to her Org for help and received nothing.
After Jeremy ended up locked in a state mental hospital, her
son-in-law Jeff Carlson, the ED of the Buffalo Org, said: "We lost one
to psychiatry." The real problem was that Jeremy was prevented from
seeing a psychiatrist.
No mention is made in the email that Jeremy Perkins himself worked on
these renovations, before he was "lost to psychiatry" and Org tried
to erase any evidence that he'd been a member.
This Org was to be a showcase, an "ideal org" that would be a model
for others, and a tribute to David Miscavige's leadership. But that
showcase was ruined before it even opened.
Now its bloodstained walls have been laid bare on the pages of the
Buffalo News, and at PerkinsTragedy.org and
BuffaloScientologyInfo.com.
"The crime will out!" But before that occurred, DM and Jenna Elfman
came to town. The grand opening. Stay tuned...
