I love the banana argument for an intelligent designer.
Talk about *pathetic. You know the common banana is a modified strain that
didn't occur in nature. We had to *change it. And had to change it to
substitute for the strain that was originally popular but went extinct
because of disease (interestingly enough, that old song "yes we have no
bananas" was inspired by the banana shortage that happened at the time).
The *current banana is in danger of going extinct. Same problem, disease.
And the race is on to breed or genetically modify some other banana strain
to suit the market.
What a buffoon that man is. We've been modifying our food since the dawn
of agriculture thousands of years ago. Is there anything left we eat today
that actually occurs "in nature?" I doubt it. The reason so much of our
food "fits" us is *we *made *it *fit. There are good reasons our ancestors
were such tiny people. They weren't getting anything near the nourishment
we do today.
He makes some comment about "brain liposuction." Well, he'd know. I mean
you have got to be seriously, if not willfully, ignorant to say the things
he said.
Hell, fruits weren't "designed" to be eaten by us anyway. They're SEEDS.
(On the other hand, thinking of how seeds are spread in nature by animals
eating fruit, then I guess the "design" is we're supposed to eat the fruit
then crap on the lawn? That would be "god's will" wouldn't it?)
