Proof that Jesus was a fictional character |
The path to the proof involves believing that there once existed a body of texts that made no mention of Jesus into which someone interpolated the character Jesus, and other characters familiar to Christians.
Instead of simply writing a story of Jesus and leaving it at that this storyline was
interpolated into a number of pre-existing texts, one of which became Mark's Gospel as
we have it today. Once established other texts were added, including a fictional
account of the rise of Christianity in the first century ad.
Someone started a cult ... using the sacred texts of a religion that did not worship
Jesus.
Someone invented Jesus.
This can be seen with crystal clarity when one closely examines varies texts in the New
Testament and determines that the original, non-Christian texts were written according
to a formula that the person altering them was unaware of. One can then "resurrect"
the original texts - delete that which was added.
These original texts were the work of a philosopher. A person possessed of a
phenomenal knowledge of the Greek language.
A very, very intelligent being lives at the very beginning of the process that evolved into
Christianity.
I wonder who the hell he was?
And who was it who altered his work and founded a cult?
As for the story that the cult used as a vehicle for their Jesus, this story was a fictional
rendering of the return of a Maccabean King of Israel - used as a vehicle for
propaganda against other Jewish groups
The cult really chopped this story about.
Now here's a surprise ... in the original story it was Simon of Cyrene who was crucified.
The Romans led the Jews to believe that the broken and bloodied body on the cross,
with a sign on it saying 'King of the Jews', was the hero of the story. The hero is being
entertained by Pontius Pilate, who has recognised his royal blood.
Such a story made Jews look very foolish
The sophistication of the story is such that it would have had limited circulation,
restricted to the intelligensia of the day. The religion (or "movement) that developed
around it probably had few adherents.
When the cult took over and added Jesus they introduced a mass of Jewish thinking
that was not present in the original. They renamed the hero, 'Jesus', and gave him
twelve disciples, elevated him to the status of "God" ... and crucified him.
The identity of the author of the original texts escapes me - no matter where I search.
I think I know who founded the cult.
And I don't like him one little bit!
The truth about the New Testament is very interesting.

Strange maybe a better description.

'Realism is seductive because once you have accepted the reasonable
notion that you should base your actions on reality, you are too often
led to accept, without much questioning, someone else's version of what
that reality is. It is a crucial act of independent thinking to be
skeptical of someone else's description of reality.'-
