Protest at Mass for John Paul
Any swine who would disturb a solemn ceremony, such as a mass for Pope
John Paul II, should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Or is
that treatment reserved for anti-abortion protestors only?

Protest at Mass for John Paul
Presiding cardinal had resigned in Boston sex-abuse cover-up
Tuesday, April 12, 2005
VATICAN CITY -- The sermon that Cardinal Bernard Law preached in St.
Peter's Basilica was not political but theological, self-effacing and
appropriate for a funeral. That did nothing to calm the outrage from
victims of childhood sexual abuse by priests, who said that the man who
was forced to resign from the Archdiocese of Boston for protecting such
priests should not offer one of the nine official Masses for Pope John
Paul II.

Leave it to "J/IBen" to support a disgraced pedophile-hiding priest.
Of course, this is the same troll that posted:

What about the priests that buggered these children?
Why did the church hide and protect them, and why weren't *they* prosecuted
to the full extent of the law????
Fucking hypocrite *****.

Cardinal Bernhard Law's presiding over a memorial mass for JPII is a slap in
the face on everyone who was sexually abused by priests working in his
archdiocese. The fact that the Vatican gave him a cushy job in Rome with a
fat salary is obscene. That fat fucker should be in jail for conspiring to
cover up the sexual abuse of children by priests under his supervision.

It would be very interesting if the College of Cardinals elected Bernard
Law as the next Pope just to stick it to the Americans. I think that
would be a splendid joke on the world. The Pope from NAMBLA.

Law already has presided over enough 'sticking it to Americans'.
Unfortunatly they tended to be very young Americans.

I wasn't passing judgement on Cardinal Law, I was addressing people who
would disrupt a solemn ceremony for the recently deceased pontiff.
There are other occasions more appropriate for protest.

That is SO magnanimous of you to reserve judgement on Cardinal Law, in spite
of clear evidence that he conspired to cover up for priests who sexually
abused children while working in his archdiocese. And yet, despite the
complete absence of evidence that these protesters disrupted the memorial
mass, you condemn them. But then, consistency was never your strong suit,

I have seen some rubbish posted on UseNet, but this may come close to
the worst piece of anti-logic ever displayed on such. By this
"reasoning", no one should have protested had Adolph Hitler held a mass
for this pope? This "cardinal" is an abomination, and this pope, who I
admired in many ways, did nothing to put a stop to Law's supporting of
child molestors.
As they say in Russia, tuffki shitski.

Of course, if we were saying that Bush or Rumsfeld should be prosecuted for
the perversions at Abu Ghraib, Danny will jump to the other side of the

Well, this is a first. I, a practicing Catholic, agree with CB. I was
embarrassed for the Church that Cardinal Law was chosen to celebrate the
Mass.

It's not like the RCC has ever felt obliged to answer to anyone, except
God. And, since they are the ones in charge of defining what God wants,
they can pretty much write their own rule book, can't they?
LOL!!!
Sorry but God did not leave His church in the hands of apostates.
And we know it is god's church, because its leaders said so; and they
must be telling the truth, because they are the leaders of god's
church.

Any swine who would disturb a solemn ceremony, such as a mass for Pope
John Paul II, should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Or is
that treatment reserved for anti-abortion protestors only?

Plus I haven't seen that the Mass was "disrupted," only that people handed out
fliers and protested outside the church where the mass was held.
I'm perfectly willing to stand corrected if someone can point out reporting
to the contrary, but that's what I've seen so far.

Why do you think you'll eet rewarded for thinking some rite and
ritual is magically solemn?
