Protesters on trial over picketing at abortion worker's home |
What ever became of the Constitutionally protected rights to free speech and
assembly? What about the rights of all those babies needlessly killed inside
the abortion mill where this worker earns her blood money? What harm did
these protesters cause?

PAPILLION - A Sarpy County trial has begun for seven abortion opponents who
gathered outside the Bellevue home of an abortion clinic worker last year.
The seven are Mary Adam, 70, Mary Hansen, 57, Sharon McKee, 51, Joseph
Reida, 58, Stephen Zach, 64, all of Omaha; and Sam Liberto and Joe McDaniel,
both 55 and of Bellevue. They face misdemeanor charges of unlawful picketing
and disturbing the peace.
A videotape played in court showed the seven beginning their vigil with
prayer that asked for divine guidance in expressing their "free-speech
rights in a way that is legal."
They gathered at the home of Karen Pender, who was working as a medical
assistant at the Abortion and Contraception Clinic of Nebraska in Bellevue,
which is run by Dr. LeRoy Carhart. He has been at the center of several
legal battles over abortion.

Why should they be allowed to trespass at a clinic worker's home? If that's
what you think is justified, that opens the door for pro-choicers to show up
at your hovel, IBen...

*Sigh* Here we go again, a group of people picketing in the front of an
abortion clinic, demanding that women stay away from that awful place and oh
woes, oh woes, think of the "innocent babies dying in that awful place"!
I think that we have seen enough dramatic acts coming from the
anti-abortionists, especially when they are over the age 50. Maybe they're
not grandmothers, but really want to be one.
Maybe they want every woman to have children because oh woes, oh woes, think
of these poor babies they're killing, these women are "murderers"!
But then the meaning of murderer is different between the anti-abortionist
and pro-choicer.
I just have an idea for a new name for the pro-lifers... here it is...
anti-choicers.
That's right, that's who pro-lifers really are - they do not want to listen
to women when it comes to their own reproduction choices. All they think is
the poor, poor fetus inside someone's womb but then when that child is born,
what did the anti-choicers usually do? They move on, leave that child
behind, and harass someone else.
How's that for an idea for the anti-choicers; a woman would give birth to an
unwanted child, an anti-choicer will then become the child's adoptive mother
or father, and that woman who just gave birth will walk away free. How's
that for an idea?
No?
Well, it's either that or just letting the woman make her decision. The
anti-choicers have NO say in what a woman wants to do with HER body. They
do not control these women. So they better snap out of it or start
volunteering to be adoptive parents for the unwanted children because not
every "baby" that came out of a woman is a child that someone wants.

None of these organizations are "disrespectful pro-choice tax leeches
in government". Planned Parenthood, MADD, NOW, and the NAACP are all
private organizations and not part of the government at all. The US
Military and the FCC and the local police departments are part of the
government, but they are not disrespectful, pro-choice, or are they
tax leeches. And not a single one of these groups or organizations is
a threat to liberty.
as evidenced by this

How did they trespass against any private home if they were on the peoples'

They weren't. They were on private property. Hers.
The government has no authority to silence speech on the peoples' property.
But they do have the authority to arrest people that are picketing in
an unlawful manner, as well as making a public nuisance of
themselves. And those are the charges against them.
And those things ARE against the law.
Censoring the people on public property is treason.
No, it is not. You obviously do not know what is and what is not
treason. Try doing some of your own research and find out what it
actually is. And there was no censorship involved.
They must be disciplined.
Pro-choice advocates have done nothing wrong.
You are in error.
Nope. Read the article. The only people that were doing anything
wrong were all anti-choice advocates showing their stupidity.
Perhaps you can show where anyone that was pro-choice was doing
anything wrong in the article. The police were doing the jobs they
were paid for. The judge will be doing the job he or she is paid
for. And there is NO evidence about the political views of those
people either way.
It was the anti-choice advocates that what were trespassing on a private
individuals property and harassing her.
I see no proof that anyone other than the property owner herself was on her
property.
How about the fact that the people were arrested based on film
evidence that they were unlawfully picketing, as well as the complaint
of the owner AND a neighbor? That is valid proof of wrong doing.
And they will be disciplined as the law dictates.
There is no law written that allows prosecution of people who were
exercising free speech on public property.
Good thing that is not what they are being charged with then. They
are being charged with unlawful picketing and being a public nuisance,
which there are laws against.
They do not respect their elders.
"Elders" like you do not deserve respect because they do not respect
anyone.
Another statement of treason from Sebree.
Nope. There is no treason in my statement. It is a statement of
fact, as you continue to prove.
And there is no reason why anyone should respect anti-choice
activists and their terroristic attitudes and tactics, as well as
their complete disrespect for others.
So, lay down your weapons, criminal.
You need to address this to actual criminals, since I am not a
criminal. And my "weapons" are the truth and my rights.
They must be resisted with force.
Anti-choice activists are being resisted very effectively, and no
force is needed.
Another lie from a criminal coward.
Nope. The truth from a law-abiding and brave citizen and veteran.
Their own actions and attitudes are works to bring
about their downfall.
So, lay down your stolen weapons and join the pro-life crowd.
Why should I join a bunch of liars, hypocrites, idiots, busybodies,
and terrorists that have no respect for the rights and beliefs of
others? I prefer to remain pro-choice, and be truthful, honest,
compassionate, uphold the rights of others and oppose the terrorism
that people like you support.
And prove that I have any stolen weapons, since you claim that I have
them.
All you are doing is showing others how lame your position is.
Basically, you are saying that you do not believe in the First
Amendment rights of anyone that disagrees with your position.
You are wrong.
No, I am not. Your entire post supports my statement. Every time you
lie about me, and call me a traitor or criminal shows that you do not
respect my rights to free speech. Probably because you know that you
cannot show that anything that I am saying is in any way in error..
The penalty for treason is death.
No treason is in evidence. You do not understand what treason is, nor
do you get to define what is and is not treasonous.
I know what treason is.
No, you do not. Your continued statements calling my words treasonous
proves this. What's more, the usual penalty for treason is a long
prison sentence with no parole.
Here is what "treason" actually means:
from Dictionary.com
1. the offense of acting to overthrow one's government or to harm or
kill its sovereign.
2. a violation of allegiance to one's sovereign or to one's state.
3. the betrayal of a trust or confidence; breach of faith; treachery.
And more importantly, here is the definition in the US Code. As in
federal law, which is the only level that can properly handle cases of
treason by definition.
http://www.gpoaccess.gov/uscode/browse.html
TITLE 18, Part 1, Chapter 115, Section 2381
"Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against
them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within
the
United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer
death,
or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this
title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding
any
office under the United States."
Now, prove ACCORDING TO THE LAWS AS WRITTEN that I am a traitor as you
have repeatedly claimed. Stick to the facts, and leave your opinions
and fantasies out of it. You DO NOT define whom are and are not the
enemies of the United States. That is defined by the government as
well. Positions and organizations that are based on the principle of
Free Speech and are working within the laws of the USA are not enemies
of the USA, therefore claiming that I am an enemy of the USA because I
tell you the facts to counter your delusions and I do not agree with
your position is not only hubris on your part, but does not support
your position.
You are a treasonous person.
Nope. You cannot point to a single actual act of treason that I have
committed. You are again blatantly and badly lying about me.

You.
It was a group of persons all over 50 years of age.
Makes no difference in the eyes of the law.
The very type of people you hate.
Nope.
You lazy, disrespectful coward.
I am none of the three. You, however, fit all three adjective.
Your days are numbered, and your allegiance to treason is doomed.
My days will last far longer than yours, and you have never provided
any evidence that I have any "allegiance to treason". Probably
because you do not know what the word means, and because you are lying
about me again.
However, since you snipped out that information below, I will again
educate you about what treason is.
[replace text that was snipped from the bottom of the previous post,
but pertinent here]
Here is what "treason" actually means:
from Dictionary.com
1. the offense of acting to overthrow one's government or to harm
or
kill its sovereign.
2. a violation of allegiance to one's sovereign or to one's
state.
3. the betrayal of a trust or confidence; breach of faith;
treachery.
And more importantly, here is the definition in the US Code. As in
federal law, which is the only level that can properly handle cases
of
treason by definition.
http://www.gpoaccess.gov/uscode/browse.html
TITLE 18, Part 1, Chapter 115, Section 2381
"Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against
them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within
the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer
death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under
this
title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding
any office under the United States."
Now, prove ACCORDING TO THE LAWS AS WRITTEN that I am a traitor as
you
have repeatedly claimed. Stick to the facts, and leave your opinions
and fantasies out of it. You DO NOT define whom are and are not the
enemies of the United States. That is defined by the government as
well. Positions and organizations that are based on the principle of
Free Speech and are working within the laws of the USA are not
enemies
of the USA, therefore claiming that I am an enemy of the USA because
I
tell you the facts to counter your delusions and I do not agree with
your position is not only hubris on your part, but does not support
your position.
[end replacement]
Since you are accusing me of treason, I want you to prove it.
Basically, I am calling you a bare faced liar. And since in this
country (the USA), our legal system is founded on the principle of
innocent until proven guilty, I do not need to prove my innocence
since that is the default state. YOU need to prove that I am guilty.
And those things ARE against the law.
Censoring the people on public property is treason.
No, it is not.
It sure is, traitor.
No, it is not. Censorship does not fit the definition of "treason".
There are no enemy states or organizations involved.
Now, prove your accusation that I am a traitor or be branded the liar
that you are so well known to be.
You obviously do not know what is and what is not
treason.
Anything that goes against the Constitution is treason.
Wrong. And you have just proven that my statement that you don't know
what is and is not treason was correct. The definition of "treason"
has nothing to do with going against the Constitution. If it were,
you would be the one that was more in danger of that than me. Treason
has to do with undermining and attempting to overthrow the government
to which one owes allegiance.
What's more, you do not get to define what does and does not go
against the Constitution. That is the job of the US Supreme Court,
and to a lesser degree, the US District Courts and State Courts. Your
opinion in the matter is worthless since you are so ignorant of the
Constitution and what the various parts of it mean.
Try doing some of your own research and find out what it
actually is. And there was no censorship involved.
Stop acting like the crybaby idiot you are.
[snip]
You are the only "crybaby idiot" in this thread, as you continue to
prove. And I am not acting like you at all. I hold myself to far
higher standards than you can imagine.
And I see that you decided to snip out the ACTUAL definition of
"treason". Could not face the truth, as usual, I see. Don't worry.
I have replaced that text higher in the thread so that you could prove
your baseless assertion against me using the actual standards that
define what is and is not treason,
Mark Sebree

You know, Tom, the main reason those old women were so fanatical is
that they are the last generation of women who didn't have safe access
to abortion . .. and boy, are they jealous of women who did! I
remember one old harridan who worked on the line at a factory where I
was a tech .. . she was ranting one day about how it wasn;t fair that
these young girls could get off so easy . .. she "had" to get married,
hated her kids, hated her husband, and the feeling was mutual.

A videotape played in court showed the seven beginning their vigil with
prayer that asked for divine guidance in expressing their "free-speech
rights in a way that is legal."
Maybe they should have consulted a lawyer instead.
They gathered at the home of Karen Pender, who was working as a medical
assistant at the Abortion and Contraception Clinic of Nebraska in Bellevue,
which is run by Dr. LeRoy Carhart. He has been at the center of several
legal battles over abortion.

Abortion is wrong. The Lord has said, "You shall not murder," (Exodus
20:13). The life that is growing within the mother is a child, a baby.
The Bible looks at the life in the womb as a child.: Exodus 21:22
says, "And if men struggle with each other and strike a woman with
child so that she has a miscarriage, yet there is no further injury,
he shall surely be fined as the woman's husband may demand of him; and
he shall pay as the judges decide"

Deliberate abortion - except when the mother's life is in danger - is
murder. That is why Christians oppose it, even though governments in
some parts of
the world have legalized it. It is killing the most defenseless living
beings by taking away their most basic human right: the right to life.
I suggest that you
seek professional help.

Not if you are speaking English and talking about anywhere abortion is
legal. Murder requires an illegal component. Without this illegal
component an act can no more be murder than a hamburger can be a
hamburger without meat or a cow be a cow without four legs and bovine
DNA.
It is impossible for a legal act to be illegal - it simply cannot
happen, To talk as if it can is to dishonestly foster a lie and
deception, as well as clearly indicating the audience is too dumb to
know what is being said.
That is why Christians oppose it, even though governments in
some parts of
the world have legalized it.
Exactly how can something that is legal be illegal?
It is killing the most defenseless living
beings by taking away their most basic human right: the right to life.

Sorry, no. The definition of 'murder' is "the killing of a natural
person by another natural person under conditions specifically covered
in law". Since abortion isn't one of the conditions covered in law,
and since the fetus isn't a person, natural or corporate, abortion
isn't murder unless the woman is also *deliberately* killed during the
abortion.
(A corporation [a corporate person] can't be guilty of murder, nor can
a natural person be guilty of murder for ending the life of something
not a natural person. "Killing" a Bonobo, or the fetus of any
viviparous species, is killing, but it's not murder. "Killing" a
corporate person is about as illegal as canceling a magazine
subscription, and as morally "wrong".)
I suggest that you seek an education in English vocabulary if you're
going to continue to attempt to teach it to those who obviously know
it better than you do. Your belief in a supernatural deity doesn't
get to redefine language any longer.
(Not that someone who willingly aligns himself with Phelps is to be
considered even marginally sane.)

And a woman is not really a human, and so has no basic human rights
to refuse to submit to any abuse heaped on her.
