Judith Langlois, a psychologist, has found out, in a contr=ADolled

is
seen to be beautiful by every observer asked, whatever the=ADir

The universe contains a sublime mathematical order. And in=AD the
formula
for beauty contains crystallization and reification of uni=ADversal
truth.
What the Renaissance masters believed - "beauty is manifes=ADtation

has
now been proven by science.
And now, the beliefs that motivated the greatest masterpie=ADces

of
beauty, speaking the truth of the universe.

I see some truth in her hypothesis. She tested infants atten=ADtion

when presented with the faces of adults. She got longer look=ADs from
the
infants towards the faces that had previously been rated mor=ADe
beautiful.
She concludes that beauty is analogous to healthiness. I hav=ADe heard
something along these lines before about the symmetry of one=AD's face
being interpreted as more attractive. Symmetry possibly rela=ADted to
the
health of one's genes? Beauty also seems to have changed in =ADthe same
way as people's interpretation of health has changed, in my =ADopinion.
During the renaissance pale, overweight women were probably
=ADconsidered
healthier. They ate well and did not have to toil. Now, tan =ADwomen who
are skinny are attractive. They do not overeat and can lie a=ADbout in

This also seems to be a good evolutionary trait.=20
