The paragraph is a classic example of lying with numbers. It doesn't
actually say that the condom has ANY holes at all. It says "voids"
as in microscopic bubbles within the latex. As we all know, bubbles
inside the latex don't have any effect at all.

Especially when those viruses can only be transported via cells that
are quite a bit larger than 5 microns. If the cell cannot get through
the hole, then the virus inside of it cannot do so either, since it
cannot travel without the cell.

I have read a few of your post, I would hope that you can show a little
more intelligence and some common sense than what little to nothing I
have seen so far in most of your postings.
The Vatican policy is this; you are not allowed to use any device which
restricts the possibility of life being created, and to that, all sex
must be open to conception, hence the reason why the Catholic church is
against homosexuality, because it is non-procreative sex.
I'm against the anti-condom policy because quite frankly, what a
married couple does behind closed doors is none of the popes business -
sex is more than just procreative, it is about the intimacy of two
humans expressing their love for each other in the most imitate way
possible, and quite frankly, the pope should let the two involve decide
wether they wish to use condoms, sex toys or sexy lingerie etc.
As for my stance on abortion - my self, I'm stuck in the middle, mainly
because it brings up a number of fundamental questions about life, the
value of life, when life begins and who and on what grounds
could/should someone be allowed to abort a foetus.

I can certainly understand and appreciate that answer. It is a very
tough issue to deal with because no matter what your stand on it is,
it's going to offend someone. I guess it doesn't really matter because
frankly, it's no one elses business what your position is and if they
don't like it, tough.
But your comment on life and when it begins, in my opinion it beings
the very moment of conception.

I have read a few of your post, I would hope that you can show a little
more intelligence and some common sense than what little to nothing I
have seen so far in most of your postings.
The Vatican policy is this; you are not allowed to use any device which
restricts the possibility of life being created, and to that, all sex
must be open to conception, hence the reason why the Catholic church is
against homosexuality, because it is non-procreative sex.
So anyone who is a member of the catholic religion would be
anti-condom?
Only if they were devout Catholics.
I'm against the anti-condom policy because quite frankly, what a
married couple does behind closed doors is none of the popes business -
sex is more than just procreative, it is about the intimacy of two
humans expressing their love for each other in the most imitate way
possible, and quite frankly, the pope should let the two involve decide
wether they wish to use condoms, sex toys or sexy lingerie etc.
As for my stance on abortion - my self, I'm stuck in the middle, mainly
because it brings up a number of fundamental questions about life, the
value of life, when life begins and who and on what grounds
could/should someone be allowed to abort a foetus.
I can certainly understand and appreciate that answer. It is a very
tough issue to deal with because no matter what your stand on it is,
it's going to offend someone.
And God knows, that is how you should decide what position to take, by
whether you might offend someone.
I guess it doesn't really matter because
frankly, it's no one elses business what your position is and if they
don't like it, tough.
Then why did you claim it is a tough issue? Flip-flopping are you?
But your comment on life and when it begins, in my opinion it beings
the very moment of conception.
Except that bible you love so much says it begins at birth, hypocrite.

Well, technically, they *must* follow the theological positions of the
pontif - with that being said, you would be lucky to find a Catholic
who doesn't use contraception - I mean, families don't go from five
children down to an average of two because the rhythm technique
suddenly starts working.

The other part of the equation I think many on the left fail to realise
is this; the rise of STDs as people use abortion as a form of
contraceptive rather than a last resort - there is already evidence
showing that with the ability to being able to access over the counter
morning after pill, there has been a link to a rise in STDs - even one
doctor, who had NO religious leanings pointed it out - as she said, it
sends the wrong message to teens about safe sex - both to stop
pregnancy AND to stop the spread of STDs.
