Psalm 113: 1-8. 5-14-2007. |
Praise Of God's Care Of The Poor.
Hallelujah!
Praise, you servants of the Lord,
praise the name of the Lord.
Blessed be the name of the Lord,
both now and forever.
From the rising of the sun to its
setting
let the name of the Lord be
praised.
High above all nations is the Lord;
above the heavens God's glory.
Who is like the Lord,
our God enthroned on high,
looking down on heaven and
earth?
The Lord raises the needy from the
dust,
lifts the poor from the ash heap,
Seats them with princes,
the princes of the people.

How do you square this with Christ's claim that the poor would
always be with us?

No response, padre? That looks like a clear case of intellectual
poverty.

Ah! Assuming your conclusion.
....
The Lord raises the needy from the
dust,
lifts the poor from the ash heap,
Seats them with princes,
the princes of the people.
I'm sure your deity can produce REAMS of evidence to support this
claim.
Also read:

Acts 1: 15-17, 20-26.
Couldn't be bothered.

If it were customary for one to base one's convictions on proof
and to confer upon them only that amount of certitude that the
proof justified, then the world would be healed of most of the
ills which it is suffering from.
