The Greatness Of The True God.
Not to us, Lord, not to us but to your name give glory
because of your faithfulness and love.
Why should the nations say,
"Where is their God?"
Our God is in heaven;
whatever God wills is done.
Their idols are silver and gold,
the work of human hands.
May you be blessed by the Lord,
who made heaven and earth.
The heavens belong to the Lord,
but the earth is given to us.

Imagine yourself a Jew about to enter a 'shower' at the Nazi death-camp in
Auschwitz, Poland in 943 *knowing* that it was not really a 'shower' shower
but a gas chamber. Would you give 'glory' to your 'God' for doing such a
'loving' thing to you and thousands and thousands of unfortunates like you?
Would you sing 'His' praise? Would you be overcome with joy at the 'love'
he's about to show you?
What kind of a freakin' moron would worship and adore a deity who planned
the abject misery, suffering, torture and death of so many innocents and
pronounce this mass-murdering deity an infinitely 'loving' and merciful
deity?
Don't you realize that such irrational behavior demonstrates severe mental
illness?

Are you talking about the 'idols' of the Catholic church that Exodus 20:4
and Deuteronomy 5:8 condemn?

How about using common sense and coming to the conclusion that there
certainly is no 'loving' God because events like the Holocaust, the genocide
going on in Darfur, 9/11, and any other monstrous calamity you'd care to
mention *proves* that this is not so?
