Psalm 115: 1-6, 8-9. 7-5-2007. |
The Greatness Of The True God.
Not to us, Lord, not to us but to your name give glory
because of your faithfulness and love.
Why should the nations say, "Where is their God?"
Our God is in heaven; whatever God wills is done.
Their idols are silver and gold, the work of human hands.
They have mouths but do not speak, eyes but do not see.
They have ears but do not hear, noses but do not smell.
Their makers shall be like them, all who trust in them.
The house of Israel trusts in the Lord, who is their help and shield.

Where is he, indeed?
Where's that world peace you, and millions of others, have been praying for?
There are thousands of people dying in wars every day.
Where's your god when you need him?
Smiler,
The godless one

No response, padre? If you cannot produce a coherent definition
for your deity then your deity is a meaningless concept.
Just thought you would like to know.

No response, padre? As Pilate said to Christ: "What is truth?"
Significantly, Christ offers no reply.
There are always plenty of wannabe saviours who like to babble on
about having the truth. What Pilate understood is that in order to
speak about truth one must first have a coherent definition of
truth. Christ's silence makes it clear to Pilate that Christ was
just another crackpot with delusions of grandeur.

Hey, padre. Ya notice how the verses you quoted sound like a
schoolyard squabble? "Nyah, nyah. My god is better than your
god."
