Psalm 119: 23-24, 26-27, 29-30. 4-23-2007. |
A Prayer To God, The Lawgiver.
Though princes meet and talk against me,
your servant studies your laws.
Your decrees are my delight;
they are my counselors.
I disclosed my ways and you answered me;
teach me your laws.
Make me understand the way of your precepts;
I will ponder your wondrous deeds.
Lead me from the way of deceit;
favor me with your teaching.
The way of loyalty I have chosen;
I have set your edicts before me.

What a nice little poem showing the merits of scientific knowledge and how
it should not be swayed by the deceit of those 'princes' of religions that
try to discredit it.

Looking for loopholes, no doubt.
Your decrees are my delight;
they are my counselors.

The record shows that David was a slow learner.
I disclosed my ways and you answered me;
teach me your laws.
Yup. Shoot first, ask questions later. That's our king David.
Make me understand the way of your precepts;
I will ponder your wondrous deeds.

Your welcome, Dave.
Lead me from the way of deceit;
favor me with your teaching.
