Object: Psalm 131: 1-3. 11-6-2007.
Humble Trust In God.
A song of ascents. Of David.
Lord, my heart is not proud;
nor are my eyes haughty.
I do not busy myself with great matters,
with things too sublime for me.
Rather, I have stilled my soul,
hushed it like a weaned child.
Like a weaned child on its mother's lap
so is my soul within me.
Israel, hope in the Lord,
now and forever.

A song of ascents. Of David.

Lord, my heart is not proud;
nor are my eyes haughty.

The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine
enemies thy footstool.
-- Psalm 110:1

I do not busy myself with great matters,
with things too sublime for me.

If you say so, your kingliness.

Rather, I have stilled my soul,
hushed it like a weaned child.

Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction
shall drive it far from him.

Couldn't be bothered.

It seems you already know the contents anyway.
I couldn't be bothered now, and in the past. You can tell the
whole thing is worthless right from the first sentence of the
first chapter of the first book:
"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."
Here the unknown author from some unknown time thousands
of years ago from a region even more ignorant than we
are now, makes no attempt whatsover to explain how
he knows all this. Instead of explaining how he knows
there was a god to do the alleged creating it is just
simply assumed.
Clearly it is just a made up fiction. It beats me how anybody
with a modicum of sense could consider it otherwise
Thus the above passage is the most anybody need read
from the Bible to judge its worth.
