Psalm 33: 2-3, 10-11, 18-19. 7-11-2007. |
Praise Of God's Power And Providence.
Give thanks to the Lord on the harp;
on the ten-stringed lyre offer praise.
Sing to God a new song;
skillfully play with joyful chant.
The Lord foils the plan of nations,
frustrates the designs of peoples.
But the plan of the Lord stands forever,
wise designs through all generations.
But the Lord's eyes are upon the reverent,
upon those who hope for his gracious help,
Delivering them from death,
keeping them alive in times of famine.

Another excellent exercise in cherry picking.

Probably in all history there is no instance of a society in which
ecclesiastical power was dominant which was not at once stagnant,
corrupt and brutal.

One fine day in alt.atheism, "vivapadrepio@aol.com" <vivapadrepio@aol.com>
bloodied us up with this:
Give thanks to the Lord on the harp;
on the ten-stringed lyre offer praise.
Sing to God a new song;
skillfully play with joyful chant.
Don't waste your time. Buy a guitar and learn the Devil's music. You'll
make a lot more money than you will with a stupid harp.
