Psalm 47: 2-3, 6-9. 5-17-2007. |
The Ruler Of All The Nations.
All you peoples, clap your hands;
shout to God with joyful cries.
For the Lord, the Most High,
inspires awe,
the great king over all the earth.
God mounts the throne amid shouts of joy;
the Lord, amid trumpet blasts.
Sing praise to God, sing praise;
sing praise to our king,
sing praise.
God is king over all the earth;
sing hymns of praise.
God rules over the nations;
God sits upon his holy throne.

Also read:
Acts 1: 1-11.
Ephesians 1: 17-23.
Luke 24: 46-53.

The Ruler Of All The Nations
Uh huh.
Good ol' Dave WAS prone to exaggerate, particularly when he was in
a bind or if he was toadying up to YHWH after one of his sinful
episodes.
But that aside, should not the world be in better shape if there
is indeed a "Ruler Of All The Nations"? What say you, padre?

Josef

No response, padre? Why don't you ask your incomp..., ummmm, I
mean your omniscient deity for the answer?

yes, let's yell at personifications of nature.
For the Lord, the Most High,
inspires awe,
the great king over all the earth.
Or maybe it's the weed.
God mounts the throne amid shouts of joy;
the Lord, amid trumpet blasts.
Those prophets DID talk to themselves after all.
Sing praise to God, sing praise;
sing praise to our king,
sing praise.
Repetitive much?
God is king over all the earth;
sing hymns of praise.
God rules over the nations;
God sits upon his holy throne.
hmmmm....and this supposed "king" is letting this happen? Organized
Religon is an excuse for people to pass off the blame to something
that can't pass it off. I mean, "God" doesn't play the blame game now
does he....
grrr....I'm in a fighting mood.

One fine day in alt.atheism, "vivapadrepio@aol.com" <vivapadrepio@aol.com>
bloodied us up with this:
The Ruler Of All The Nations.
All you peoples, clap your hands;
....and leave your brain in the box at the door.
Do you really think this drivel convinces anyone who isn't already
convinced?

But there's that slim chance that there's an 'atheist' our here who *hates*
'God' and may become so filled with the Holy Spirit and the holy words of
our loving 'Lord' to the point that 'faith' will bring that atheist to the
*truth*, don't you know: that 'God' actually *died* on the cross (and we
must assume in 'Heaven' as well) for the remission of the sins of Hitler,
Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, and *you* for stealing your neighbor's newspaper that
one day many a moon ago.
Aren't you at *all* 'grateful'?
