Psycho Nut Jobs! Where Was Capitol Hill Police When This Was Going Down? |
From the Wall Street Journal: "Insisting that God 'certainly needs to be
involved' in the Supreme Court confirmation process, three Christian ministers
today blessed the doors of the hearing room where Senate Judiciary Committee
members will begin considering the nomination of Judge Samuel Alito on Monday.
"Capitol Hill police barred them from entering the room to continue what
they called a consecration service. But in a bit of one-upsmanship, the three
announced that they had let themselves in a day earlier, touching holy oil to
the seats where Judge Alito, the senators, witnesses, Senate staffers and the
press will sit, and praying for each of the 13 committee members by name.
"'We did adequately apply oil to all the seats,' said the Rev. Rob Schenck,
who identified himself as an evangelical Christian and as president of the
National Clergy Council in Washington."
Where was security when these religious fundamentalists where spreading these
substances around a room that would hold hearings to determine the future of the
judicial branch of our government for years to come?
"Capitol Hill police said they weren't aware that the three had entered the
hearing room earlier, but added that hearing rooms typically aren't locked
because 'they're not of interest to anyone.' Lt. Dominick Costa said the
Judiciary Committee room will be swept for bombs and perhaps for electronic
bugging equipment before the hearing begins."
I wonder if Capitol Hill police would have been as casual about the whole thing
if Muslim fundamentalists were sneaking into rooms on Capitol Hill before
meetings to disperse substances of unknown origin?
Nice to know how easy it would be to toss some anthrax or ricin around Capitol
Hill. Nice to know security is really on top of things.
"The two men, along with Grace Nwachukwu, general manager of a group called
Faith and Action, read three Psalms outside the committee room, knelt to say the
Lord's Prayer and marked a cross in oil on the committee door before
leaving."
So what would have happened if I put a pentagram on the door in some sort of oil
after reciting some satanic or voodoo prayers? Would Capitol Hill police just
let me leave and go about my day?
When will people wake up and realize this kind of fundamentalist garbage is just
as dangerous whern Christians do it as when Muslims do it? I guess when
Muslim's are religious, they're a threat and when Christians do it, their pious?
*****!
Somewhere these ministers are using that oil in a circle jerk, imagining the
U.S. transformed into a Christian Theocracy, with plenty of young boys to serve
them.

God has not showed up for this meeting but I have selflessly
taken the burden of speaking for god on my own shoulders....."
