Fundies and trolls are cordially invited to
shove a wooden cross up their arses and rotate
at a high rate of speed. I trust you'll
be 'blessed' with a cornucopia of splinters.

Ack, the conclusion is way off.
There is no such thing as passive observation. The electron is not
"aware" that it is being watched. Observation involves interaction. It
is the interaction that localizes the electron wave into the electron
particles.
This kind of consciousness effecting QM stuff is what people were
dreaming up back before QM was well understood.
The movie that skit came from is actually notorious for it's mistruths
and disinformation.

That said. The experimental facts in that particular segment were
correct. Only the explaination was incorrect. How they presented
observation as being passive was incorrect. And the animation of the
electron ball splitting into 2 electron balls was very rough too.
Those interference patters are really what you see. It's just that the
eye ball stand is a measuring device that interacts with the electron.
Observation is not passive!
