Ramifications of Schiavo case |
How many religious people are willing, after the Schiavo case, to force
life-prolonging medical procedures on Christian Scientists or other
denominations with similar beliefs?

That's a bit of an unfair question, since Terri Schiavo's parents are
claiming that removing her feding tube would violate *her* (Catholic)
beliefs.
Of course they're full of it, since her husband is her guardian, not
them, and he and others have testified in court that she specifically
stated she would not want to be kept alive this way.
But I'll tell ya, man, if you're in a religion that has *any* teachings
you disagree with that might affect you in a situation like then, you
should either drop that religion like a hot potato or at least get your
disagreements written down in a Living Will.

It depends on whether the torture of the Christian Scientist had
produced the necessary information or not.
