What, a grand total of 27 people out of thousands?
"The list is compiled by the Florida Division of Elections to keep
felons from voting. It includes nearly 48,000 names, including 641 in
Manatee County and 651 in Sarasota County.
"Florida is one of six states that takes away felons' voting rights.
Felons can only have their rights restored by seeking clemency from
the state. Last year alone, 21,000 felons received clemency from
Florida."
And were they all, or even mostly, democrats?
"That group includes 25 men and two women; 19 whites and eight blacks;
and 12 Republicans, 10 Democrats and five voters without party
affiliation."
And what does Jeb Bush have to do with it personally?
Nada.
Inasmuch as I don't like the Bush dynasty, such obvious lies are
likely to damage the democrat position more. Also, I don't think
Iraninans and Malaysians care strongly about whether 27 convicted
felons in Florida can vote or not. I'm leaving a.a in, however, well,
since otherwise nothing will be left.

The word they used was "at least."
An actual quote from the story:
"The Miami Herald's research found at least 2,119 people
purged who at one time had their voting rights restored.
The 2000 election was decided by 537 votes."
And, no, the 27 you mention was out of hundreds, as a
quote you yourself provided had shown. The exact figure
given in the story was 641. It said that "at least" 27 people
out of 641 were being thrown off the voter rolls.
The story also limited its view to people who had been
convicted of a felony, had lost their voter rights, and
later were granted "clemency." The 2000 election theft
involved many thousands of people who were never
convicted of anything, as the story itself mentions.
Another point you missed entirely: The 27 people represent
just over 4% of the names FOR THAT ONE COUNTY. That
same error rate multiplied by all the counties results in enough
votes to account for Bush's claimed "margin of victory" in the
2000 election, three times.
"The list is compiled by the Florida Division of Elections to keep
felons from voting. It includes nearly 48,000 names, including 641 in
Manatee County and 651 in Sarasota County.
So it's "at least" 27 names out of 641, an error rate of "at least" 4%,
which means that three times as many people will wrongly be denied
their right to vote than accounted for Bush's "margin of victory."
It is a big deal.

I have no problem with the story but with the poster's claim "2004 ~
Jeb wrongfully accuses Democrats of being felonious Floridians".
Not all of them were democrats (in fact, more republicans from the
figures given), they were indeed felonious (which is not the point,
but if indeed Jeb accused them of being felonious he would be correct)
and I don't think there's any evidence of it being Jeb's doing that
their clemencies weren't in effect.

"The figures given" were for 27 people out of 2,119. They were for
a single county, and nothing in the story so much as approached
support of your position that the 27 were somehow representative
of all 2,119.
It didn't even say that there were only 2,119 citizens wrongfully
denied their vote, or even that there were only 27 citizens
wrongfully denied their vote in this particular county.
"At least."
What the story said was that there were "at least" 2,119 citizens
wrongfully denied their right to vote, and that "at least" 27 were
in the county profiled.
You're leaping to conclusions here, and misrepresenting the facts
along the way.

Do you have reading comprehension problems? The political leanings of
*only* those 27 people are given. Curiously, out of those, more are in
fact republicans than democrats. There's nothing in the story to
suggest that all, or even *majority* of the alleged 2119 are
democrats, so that number alone is meaningless and in no way suggests
that it was only or mostly democrats who were prevented from voting.
If anything -and I don't say we should necessarily rely on the
extrapolation, but without more info, we cannot do better- it suggest
it's more likely that within that 2119, the voter preference would be
even or close to a small republican majority. Whatever way you take
it, the poster is essentially lying to you and me. Curiously, you seem
to like that.
