From the Republican Playbook, the "Oh *****! We're Going to Lose!" chapter.
Condensed, it's just a scare tactic. If we ARE attacked, how is this
the Democrats' fault when Bush is STILL IN POWER? If we're attacked
during the transition buffer period before the new president is able to
coordinate and fund various anti-terrorism measures (a la WTC1993), how
is that the new president's fault?
When the USS Cole was attacked and we were investigating who did it and
the conclusions were published when Bush came into power, it's Clinton's
fault?
Then, when the PATRIOT Act was being passed, only two Democrats could've
stopped it. They both got "Anthraxed". Whenever something to reduce
the scare tactics of the Bush Administration comes down the line, hey,
look at that: Another terror threat is published. How convenient.
Now it looks like the Republicans may lose the presidency in '09, and
now there's supposedly another terror threat? Hmm.....
Then again, Ridge was constantly saying that they were going to make a
major strike in the US and the closest thing there was was a cartoon
advertisement in Boston.
Break out the blowtorch, boys! I's takin' down the bay bridge! I'll
give you a call when I'm done in 2013.

Obviously it's the GOP. It's about time to get that fear machine

permitted 9/11 to take place.

No, the GOP was sneering "wag the dog" when Clinton bombed the last known
or suspected weapons sites in Iraq. Because, after all, claiming you're
trying to disarm Saddam Hussein and destroy his capacity to make WMD must
be a cover for some other political agenda.

That's a separate incident we found out only after the fact. The Sudan
incident is the one the reich is trying to smear Clinton with. We were
aware Sudan was trying to ship bin Laden home. Clinton's only part was
trying to convince SA to take him. Which they didn't.
