READINGTON, N.J. (AP) -- It appears an F-B-I agent killed during a
robbery stakeout in New Jersey Thursday was hit by friendly fire.
The agent-in-charge says three bank robbery suspects had assault
rifles and handguns but didn't shoot after agents confronted them in
Readington.
Barry Bush of the Newark F-B-I office died during the confrontation.
The bureau says another agent's weapon accidentally discharged
during "a dynamic arrest situation." It hasn't said how many shots
were fired or what led agents to shoot.
Bush and his team were tracking a group of men believed to be
responsible for four robberies. Two of the robbery suspects were
caught but a third got away.
I note that at least one of the perps is a hispanic. Illegal alien?
