No. But what is a cosmic time scale?

Time it takes for cosmic events: stars forming and using up their
hydrogen and turning to white dwarfs or black holes, planets forming,
continents rearranging. That sort of thing. Many people talk about
having an eternal afterlife, but I can't imagine anything more
horrifying. I look forward to ending, someday.

Lol - well, according to my research - we just don't have much of a
choice. Thank goodness your memory is pretty well wiped so you don't
have to remember living over and over and over.

Pretty well wiped? Where could it be stored after the brain rots away
or is burned or blown up?

Your memory becomes part of God's.

Of what use or benefit is that belief? Just something to quell your
possible fear of death or non-existence?
Maybe it's no different than the belief that the atoms in your
body will be re-used by other organisms, and that you'll "continue
on" somehow, even though those atoms don't really have a consciousness
or memory of their own?

You are assuming that everyone wishes to avoid nonexistence.

The eternal soul believers need a way to get rid of their soul?
Hmm...
Why not just quit believing in the idea? Works for me...
