leaders" of His time because He claimed to be the Son of God, and they
thought he was blaspheming God. So, you are ignorant about that. Jesus
infuriated only those political leaders that had to deal with the
religious leaders amongst their constituents. So, you are ignorant of
this as well. Pontius Pilot did not want to condemn Jesus. He told the
people he "washed his hands of this" As far as the downtrodden, they
are the very ones who screamed for Christ's blood, and Pontius , to
avoid a riot and political upheaval, gave them what they wanted. Most
of the people of that time, except the "ultra conservative" clerics
misunderstood what Jesus meant when He spoke. The political leaders
thought His "Kingdom" was a literal kingdom, and they hated Him
because they thought he sought to usurp their place on the throne.
Read the bible before you open your mouth. The conservatives of today
follow Christ's teaching much more closely in ideology and in spirit
than the liberals of any age. You don't believe in God anyway, do
you? What percentage of the liberal population are atheists? What
percentage of conservatives are atheists? Most liberals hate
Christians because liberals don't want to impose absolutes on anyone.
Wasn't it the liberals who removed God from our schools? Isn't it
liberals who believe abortion should be legal? Isn't it liberals who
wont admit to the scientific FACT that a "fetus" is human? When Mary
