Oh, before I forget. This is the main reason I even took the time to respond
to your post: You Christians have a revolting obsession with trying to
convert nonbelievers over to your irrational belief-system. I'll give you an
example of this: I was in an alcoholic treatment center a while back and was
being constantly bombarded with your religious crap. Anyway, I thought I'd
be a gentleman and "compromise." I agreed to hold hand's while the AA
Serenity Prayer was being invoked at all of the meetings. I thought I was
being "cool." But that was not enough for the religionists like you among
them. They had to conclude the meetings with a specifically "Christian"
prayer, The Lord's Prayer taken from the gospel according to Matthew. I
stubbornly refused to take part in such religious coercion
There is no compromise with God. Either you are with Him or without
Him.
Prayer For A Solution To An Alcoholic Problem:
Lord Jesus, you know the problems that are suffered by the alcoholic
and by those who must live with an alcoholic. You know how I am
suffering with this problem now.
In your life in Galilee and Jerusalem you undoubtedly met and dealt
with people who had this problem. I pray for the grace and the
strength to learn how to deal with the problem in my life. I seek not
only the gift of toleration and patience but a real and lasting
solution.
So many lives are hurt and even ruined by the problem of alcoholism. I
want you to spare these lives by granting your help. Grant the gift of
lasting health, that all of us might serve you better. I ask this,
Lord, in your name. Amen.

Thank you for the warm sentiments. I'm glad to report that I have been off
the "sauce" for some time now and have no desire to go back to it. And guess
what? I didn't need AA or Jesus to stop my drinking. Food for thought.

Yup. The battle cry of Christendom.
Luke 19:27 But those mine enemies, which would not that I should
reign over them, bring hither, and slay /them/ before me.
So, how many atheists have you killed in the name of your God?
Prayer For A Solution To An Alcoholic Problem:
Silly fool, asking Jesus for help with his alcoholism. Don't you
remember Jesus's first miracle? You know, the one where he let
Bacchus take control of his body long enough to transform water
into wine?
And how could you possibly be a good Christian if you didn't drink
deeply of the Blood of Christ in communion? You need to be
/filled/ with the spirits of your lord, don't you?
Bottoms up, Christians! Bottoms up.
Cheers,
