Your ignorance of reproductive biology is noted. The mother and baby do
not share blood.

But, yes, I support an innocent unborn child's right to
live over the mother's right to be selfish.

I am reminded of the response of gay groups to AIDS: The Republicans, the
Reagan Administration, the congress, the public health organizations,
everybody other than those who were transmitting the disease were in some
malevolent way responsible for its spread -- and all the rest of us should
spend as much as necessary to find an immediate cure. Further, gays were
not to be inconvenienced by tracing of sexual contacts as is done with
other transmittable venereal diseases. When I got married a few years ago,
I was tested for syphilis, but not for AIDS.

With abortion, we see the same general tendencies. The fetus is equivalent
to a stranger barging into my house and demanding to be kept at my expense.
My acts are in no way relevant. I'm not responsible. The fetus is an
"invader", who may be "evicted" without qualm. Nice antiseptic word that:
"evicted". Eviction is, at worst, grabbing someone by the scruff of the
neck and tossing him out the door. It has nothing to do with dismemberment,
blood, poisoning with salt, piercing the skull, sucking out brains, and
violent death. And how about, "invader"? I can see them now: Legions of
tiny fetuses, planning their campaign of malicious intent to invade the
bodies of innocent, unsuspecting women; pouring over maps, books of
anatomy, consulting timetables, carefully recording time to bed, time of
sleep, prepositioning themselves so as to launch their "invasion" when the
innocent -- totally non-responsible -- women are sleeping! Come to think of
it, I believe I read where it was the Japanese who first discerned this
nefarious plot and that it provided the inspiration for the attack on Pearl
Harbor.
