Yeah, made up ***** often is strange. The US funded a group
that was a PREDECESSOR to the Taliban. By your logic, the
British Government funded and trained the American Revolution,
because the leaders of the American armies were former British
officers.

I think the link is more direct than that. The people being funded
were known to be vehemently anti-American.
