In fact then, the so called "Near Death Experience" is a
direct experience of the "microtubule world" of
consciousness..... it is in fact a short "trip to Heaven", a
"priview of coming attractions" as it were. And when we do
finally die, we go there and exprience the full blown full
length movie known as "Life After Death".

But where's the evidence that anybody has ever experienced a longer
"life after death" than these heart patients?

[Hammond]
There is no such evidence... that's why "Life After
Death" is considered a conjecture and always has been. It
is only since the advent of modern medicine that people have
actually 'died' and been resucitated and have reported
'dreaming' while they were 'dead' that there is any evidence
at all that Life After Death exists.... and as you can see
even that evidence is hotly disputed by the experts.

The concept of life
after death obviously came from somewhere.

[Hammond]
Its obvious to you, and its obvious to me, and its
obvious to the Pope and a handful of other physicists....
but that simple deduction puts you and me in the top
10-percentile of intelligence and learning in the entire
human race since apparently since it doesn't seem obvious to
the rest of the world.

Do you think if came from
ancient people almost dieing, experiencing the compressed 5-year
dream, then recovering?

[Hammond]
Life After Death entered the documented historical record
5,000 years ago when it was engraved in heiroglyphs on the
inside walls of the pyramids of Old Kingdom Egypt where it
can be seen today as clearly as the day it was written... in
some 35 surviving Pyramids by the way.
My own intuition is that the idea that there could be
such a thing as Life After Death must have originated in the
simple discovery of the universality of the Nocturnal Dream
in mankind. Some Stone Age wag was probably sitting at a
campfire one night 10,000 years ago and said to one of his
companions: "You know; dying is a lot like going to
sleep... do you think it's possible that dead people are
dreaming and that therefore there is another dream type of
Life After Death"?
Now that was my first intuition of where the idea
originated.... and unbelivably I've only heard one other
educated person express that identical opinion and that was
Harvard Prof. George Andrew Reisner the world famous
Egyptologist. In his 1911 Ingersol lecture at Harvard; see:
http://www.fullbooks.com/The-Egyptian-Conception-of-Immortality.html
he says at the end of the first paragraph of Section III:
"....All this shows a plain simple belief in the
persistence of the life of a man as distinguished
from the body--a belief widely prevalent among
primitive people. It contains nothing unusual, and
is probably perfectly explicable psychologically
by means of dreams."
(G.A. Reisner, Harvard Ingersol Lecture, 1911)
Interestinly, thousands of years later exactly the same
idea occured to the Christions whence St. Paul outlines
exactly the same theory in I Cor. 15:35-58, and which is now
canonical Christian belief. St. Paul refers to the dream
body as a "spiritual body" in the New Testament.

Why do we not find that "full length"
experience happening now?

[Hammond]
Well obviously these NDE people were "resucitated" and
therefore brought back from Heaven after only a few minutes
or less.

Why would such a vague story, based on
trusting someone's word, have survived so well for so long?

[Hammond]
Well, like I say the phenomenon of nocturnal dreams is
ancient and still with us and promises to be from now to
Kingdom Come, hence the persistence of the Theory of Life
After Death. Not only that, the phenomenon of "God" itself
is much better understood today than it was in ancient times
an enlightenment which serves to mightily bolster the
"spiritual body" thesis of Life After Death. I mean, YOU
may not understand what God is, but many millions of people
do, as evidenced by say the fact that the Global Satellite
Christian t.v. station (Daystar) is one of the fastest
growng worldwide cable channels on the air. Every one of
those spectators, and performers, has a very good working
knowlege of that God actually is phenomenologically
(psychologically) speaking.

Also I'd like to know who that muslim terrorist was who had a 5-year
dream about the dozens of virgins, then came back to life to share his
knowledge with everyone else. :P

[Hammond]
Likewise I'm sure... there must be a lot of smooth *****
walking around in Heaven; if you'll pardon the blasphemy.
