Putting a program description together often feels like solving a jigsaw
puzzle (one that's been scattered all over the house). . . and small
mysteries sometimes appear as the puzzle takes shape. . . this has been
one of them. ;)
It took me a lifetime to put all the strange pieces together.
I found a world much older than I had expected, from reading more
modern books.
A lot of people are still controlled by old traditions and gender
roles.
Belief is still stronger than rational thought for many.
People are slowly liberating themselves from old ideas and old states
of mind.
